Today, I visited a memorial to the victims of the Islamic terrorist attacks of Oct 7.
One thing that struck me when looking at the rows of Israeli, American, and the flags of 29 other countries whose citizens fell victim to the Hamas attacks were the warning signs.
And the guards.
In the middle of a public park in a wealthy area of Los Angeles County, the rows of flags wouldn’t be safe unless there were warning signs about video surveillance and legal prohibitions against vandalism and a number of armed guards (whom I did not film) to back them up.
What does it say about the current culture of leftist lawlessness and the Islamist invasions of major cities, that this is what it takes to keep a memorial to the fallen that includes multiple American flags and those of much of the world (including Russia and China) safe from those who would vandalize and destroy them?

There should be hidden cameras covering the area so that with facial recognition software the perps can be identified.
Mickorn says
Yeah. Everybody knows that only leftists trash things.

And the District Attorney will refuse to prosecute those criminals as well
Lightbringer says
And then what? Do you think that in the People’s Republic of California there would be any consequences for vandalizing this lovely memorial? Cameras would only provide some jerks with their fifteen minutes of fame.
Algorithmic Analyst says
They are using facial recognition to build up a database so they at least know who the perps are.

Morally good human beings are and always will be compelled to sanctify what has been desecrated.
This public park land has been consecrated by a memorial to those slaughtered on Israeli soil on October 7th.
It’s not a cemetery of flesh and bones turning to dust.
It’s where pure souls freed from their desecrated bodies flutter in the air amongst the flags.
However:
Guards guarding flags, but not people?
No-trespassing signs,
not to be confused with keep off the grass signs?
The more I think about it, the more irritated I get.
We don’t want memorials.
We have our fill.
We want life in Israel.
How many of those “flags” vote against Israel’s flag in the UN?
Isn’t this memorial premature?
Is this a pro-Israel protest without people?
Do you fight a war with symbolism?
Do people in Israel who are citizens of other countries represent in an official capacity the countries from which they come? Or are they individual human beings who come to Israel because of the economic opportunity, the spirituality and the cool, youthful, artistically free, peace-out multiethnic cultures?
Plunking a bunch of flags in the middle of a public park with guards to protect flags is how to deal with jihad and Israel haters?
This is how to influence anti Israel, open Jew hatred public sentiment and destructive foreign policy?
For whom exactly is this memorial?
It won’t educate. It won’t inspire. But maybe it will encourage violence with armed guards? Jail time?
Ahhh…… I get it.
…California dreamin’.
