You may have noticed the absolute meltdown of the left over the existence of Elon Musk and the DOGE team doing exactly what Donald Trump was elected to do. I phrased it that way because that’s exactly what is happening – someone is finally going through the government’s books and records to figure out what people do, how much it costs, where the rest of the money is going and whether or not we can live without it since we’re more than $36 trillion in debt. Why would anyone meltdown over that? There’s a very simple reason: Democrats cannot afford for the American people realizing how much government they can live without. More than that, they can’t have the public recognize how much the government was actually getting in their way and impeding their success. The public doing either of those two things would be the end of the Democratic Party.
Not one single person in the Democratic Party, either elected or in journalism, has commented positively on anything the Department of Government Efficiency has uncovered and ended so far, nothing. No matter how wasteful, no matter how absurd, no matter how insane or stupid, Democrats are angry that DOGE exists, not that we taxpayers are being ripped off. That tells you something.
The most amazing part of all of it is how these people, who’ve spent decades milking taxpayers for their pet causes, for money to fund organizations that employ their children and fund their campaigns, that hire and pay them exorbitant amounts of money for no-show or symbolic jobs when they retire, that use insider information that make them more successful at stock trading than people who do it for a living, have the audacity to refer to what Musk and the crew are doing as somehow motivated by “greed.”
Under what circumstances would the richest man in the world risk prison for a little more? He’s not Mr. Burns, he’s an OCD kind of guy obsessed with determining what is absolutely essential to the operations of something and eliminating everything else involved in its creation and production. Read Walter Isaacson’s biography of him, for crying out loud.
The “kids,” as the left likes to belittlingly call them, who work with him are not in it for the money, either. Most have founded companies, won massive investments in their ideas, and don’t need anything to be more successful than anyone whining about them. What they want, what they crave is a challenge.
People who’ve risked and accomplished nothing have no understanding of how successful people, at any level, need a challenge. Standing on top of a mountain is boring, climbing to the top of it is what life is all about. Get there, conquer, then move on to the next things.
We all know people who love to have a good time all the time, to the serial entrepreneur class the good time doesn’t involve booze, drugs, sex or money – all of which will come and are available – it’s the creation; the defying of expectations to bring about something new or a better way to do something old.
Musk can buy literally anything on the planet, but he doesn’t. His largest purchase was a headache with Twitter – he bought a challenge and beat it.
The biggest challenges we face as a species, he’s taken on: space, the brain, communicating with one another. The only challenges bigger are government and existence.
But the idea of a smaller, better run government that does not get ripped off or lose hundreds of billions of dollars every year not only doesn’t interest Democrats, the very idea seems to scare them.
There are only two conclusions that can be drawn from that fact: either Democrats do not care – they put their political power ahead of what is in the best interest of the American people – or they benefit, financially or otherwise, from the inefficient and corrupt management of government. Personally, I’ve always found it to be a lot from column A and a dash of column B, but that’s just me.
Whatever the case, the work of Musk and DOGE must continue. They are the financial intervention the drunken sailors who’ve been running up the credit cards need, whether they like it or not. It’s just an important side effect that the reaction to their work is exposing how paranoid the left is that their house of cards can come crumbling down if transparency and fiscal responsibility were to become a part of how the government operates.
What about local Democrats at the state, county, and township level. Hypothesis: If you see an elected Democrat, they are a thief. All Democrats steal…as much as they can at any level to which they are elected. Accept that premise , and state, counties, and townships become open hunting grounds for the “everyday” Americans. School boards are especially ripe for the Democrats. Start a movement at the local level to begin investigating the finances of EVERY Democrat in an elected position. Begin with the question…how exactly did they get elected? Honestly? I doubt it. Then move on to look at all the taxpayer money pots they have access to. They’re stealing. You know it. After that it’s a matter of catching them and putting them in prison.
WOW! Great idea, unfortunately I am too lazy to do it.
Ha ha ha ha ha!
Actually, the D-Bags are neck deep in the sewer of A and B. They’re terrified that their abject corruption will be revealed, which is already happening. In only two or three weeks, Musk and his genius whiz kids have already found close to a trillion dollars in graft, kickbacks, waste, “woke” payments to foreign countries that are all stolen by the recipients and yes, direct payments to the Dirtbagocrat party and its D-Bag elites through middleman organizations.
America sees their hysteria and KNOWS why they’re panicking and biting back like the vermin they are.
WE see the grift. But prominent people and a corrupt media have convinced millions of democrats that there IS NO EVIDENCE of corruption and that Trump and Musk are doing all this for the money.
And now we have AOC, possibly the dumbest person on the planet, calling Elon and his team of young whiz kids “dumb”. Rotflmao!
I saw that several times. She sez President Trump is dumb, too. ROTFLMAO is right. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more stupid and clueless hypocrite in my life. I doubt she even knows how to tie her shoelaces.
This is true but she is on social media every hour of the day. We NEED someone of a similar age who is adept with the media, who can debate her nonsense with common sense. Her audience can be persuaded by those who educate rather than denigrate!
Yes, brainwashed Americans who believe Minitrue Media whoppers and reflexively vote Dirtbagocrat are a real problem to themselves and normal people who are self aware.
As if either of them NEEDS more money. It’s laughable to me that some think they’re doing it “for the money”. They both know well how to get money. No, the fact is that they’re both really successful men who want to teach others how to do the same. They’re actual GOOD GUYS of which we have a plethora in America.. All the other people need to watch and learn..
Sorry, DOGE exposed the abundant amount of D-Bag corruption it has in only one week. They only just started on Wednesday, February fifth.
So much for the D-Bag mewlings about Musk’s Whiz Kids just being Kidz, who they always tout as the future of America so long as they’re woketarded .D-Bags who’ll never amount to a hill of beans.
Good read. But you noted….
“We all know people who love to have a good time all the time, to the serial entrepreneur class the good time doesn’t involve booze, drugs, sex or money – all of which will come and are available – it’s the creation; the defying of expectations to bring about something new or a better way to do something old.”
One exception MIGHT be the insanely popular rock band Led Zeppelin… last weekend’s documentary debut of “Becoming Led Zeppelin” made this perfectly clear.
Zep brought about something new, they defied expectations, they created the greatest rock sound ever from the masters of the old.
They were actually very entrepreneurial in using booze, drugs, sex and money for the advertising of their product. And their customer base went global at the speed of sound in 1968.
Back then, all such marketing tricks were not only illegal, but deemed immoral. Nowadays, the ubiquity of such “sins” blinds us to their presence.
By the way, that new Zep documentary is absolutely brilliant. Why? Jimmy shreds everything he does.
Led Zeppelin is not innovation.
J. S. Bach giving the West the tempered scale is innovation.
Sonata form is innovation.
The symphony is innovation.
Rock and Roll just like Rap does not represent an innovation of Western music but a disintegration and deterioration of Western music.
Haven’t heard JSB in any bars, beach parties or sporting events lately.
Nor did he play over 600 live concerts worldwide, many being 3 hrs in length with nary a break, except for backstage refreshments.
Whole lotta industries were created around Zep merchandise, and many children conceived under the influence of Whole Lotta Love, Babe I’m Gonna Leave You and Since I’ve Been Lovin’ You.
And like the degradation you speak of, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame here in Cleveland has relegated “the greatest rock band of all time” to the back hallways in favor of the Hip Hop / Rap sector of the larger music world.
Go see the new documentary in IMAX theaters near you. And it only covers the first 2 of 7 albums. (non-bootleg), so there’s probably gonna be sequels.
Led Zeppelin performed some beautiful acoustic music.
Their bass guitar/ keyboard player was offered the position as choirmaster at Winchester Cathedral.
Zeppelin’s music might not be to everyone’s taste, but neither is classical music to everyone’s taste.
I love listening to Ludwig Van Beethoven, especially the ‘Eroica’, but also love listening to Johnny Cash, and of course Led Zeppelin.
I’m actually partial to Chopin.
Wow, you learned a few words, the well tempered scale, sonata form and the symphony. No concerti.? BYW Sonata form exists in symphonies, concerti and sonatas. I wouldn’t think you knew that
What you know of Led Zeppelin, Rock or Rap, or Bach Beethoven and Mozart couldn’t fill a thimble. Led Zeppelin is still a mainstay in the world of classic rock. People still flock to Bach, Beethoven and Mozart festivals. Annie Randy and her familiar Lenny Piehole haven’t been anything for at least 50 years
You are, most assuredly, the most negative person on the planet, spending your pathetic life stuck in the 1940s and the 1950s, and lecturing us on the “wonderousness” of the long dead Greek civilization, and endlessly pissing on Judeo Christianity. Talk about a wasted life.
Life goes on. Obviously you haven’t
You sound just like the Southerners who publicly burned rock and roll records back in the fifties. Rock music in general, and Led Zeepillen in particular were very much innovations, albeit what is sometimes referred to as destructive innovations. But that kind of change is what brings us new markets, new products, and displaces the status quos that impede growth.
Frank Zappa, one of pop music’s greatest innovators once said, “Without deviation, there is no progress.”
Destructive innovation is when something better replaces something inferior as when the automobile replaced the horse and buggy.
When something more primitive replaces something more complex that’s cultural decay.
How long have you been trying to get the world to hate Rock and Roll. Ever since I started annoying you about your Objectivist obsession…..at least 4 years ago when you wrote that idiotic post about what constitutes music.
So Mr. Harrumph, how’s that project of yours coming along anyway? Probably about as successfully as your pathetic attempts to push Objectivism into the mainstream.
THX….dedicated to a life of failure.
You had me up till your last sentence. Rock and roll is good stuff although most of it sucks nowadays. And although it’s always had elements of rhythm and blues, it was never based on them, although rhythm and blues are IRREFUTABLY based on traditional and folk music and songs, which themselves originated in the British Isles.
Rap isn’t even music. Music consists of three elements; rhythm, melody and harmony. Rap has none of those and not even singing. It’s only for retards, gutter scum and fake music critics who get paid by the rap industry to heap praise on it. Music awards shows love it too, because they’re “woke.” Rap and hip-hop (whatever the fuck that’s supposed to be) sales and profits have been steadily lessening for 25 years, while Country Western music sales, profits, audiences and concerts Ave steadily increased. It’s far and away the most popular music genre in America, followed by Classic Rock, which used to be #1. but not for at least 15 or 20 years now. It isn’t even #1 on radio, although it beats rap and “hip-hop” all to Hell.
Good classical music is definitely sublime, and technically unsurpassed by an extreme degree. Even the stuff I don’t much care for is technically magnificent.
There’s a lot of awful Classical music, particularly the 20th century stuff, but that too is cultural decay. The decay in Western music began with Classical music. The “music “ of Phillip Glass isn’t even music, it’s anti-music.
There’s a lot of good songs that historically are considered Rock but are musically not Rock for example “Yesterday”, Eleanor Rigby”, “Hey Jude” , “A Day In A Life” by the Beatles:
So Aaron Copland, particularly his American Period, is decay? Samuel Barber is decay? Debussy is decay? Should we all bow down to your musical bluster or are we allowed to have our own tastes? If it were up to you we’d never listen to anything.
No one cares about your opinion of four 60 year old Beatle songs….just sayin’. But it’s good to know you haven’t evolved beyond the 1960’s.
The Beatles were a rock band that happened to write some ballads and light pop as well. Oh the horror. The Horror!!!
Thank God we don’t take any cues from your unbelievably narrow world view. But then there is your “shero”. She didn’t much care for Beethoven.
“They were actually very entrepreneurial in using booze, drugs, sex and money for the advertising of their product. And their customer base went global at the speed of sound in 1968.”
I recall their customer base going global at the speed of sound because of their music. I remember well the effect the opening chords of ‘Good Times, Bad Times’ had, stopping people in their tracks. Many of their fans were already into booze and drugs; it was the 60’s. I won’t argue about the sex, or the money. Perhaps the booze and drugs were used later in an entrepreneurial spirit, although I don’t recall any particular emphasis on this in their music. John Bonham died from booze, causing the band to break up, cancelling a major US tour. If they had let their musical quality suffer, relying only upon their image to maintain fame, they would have disappeared like many other has-been rock bands.
Yes, Zeppelin’s last album, “In Through the Out Door” was great. They hadn’t lost their edge at all.
And that came out when vinyl records were still the main way to purchase music recordings. Cassetes didn’t become popular until the 80s and thankfully, they didn’t last long until CD’s came out, because they SUCKED. They sucked almost as badly as 8 tracks.
Record albums used to have cool photos, paintings and illustrations on covers and record sleeves. The illustration on the first Santana album is fantastic. Some albums even had laser etchings on the LPs, like Styx’s “Paradise Theatre.”
The outer sleeve of “In Through the Out Door” album was made of paper like the kind used for grocery bags, wrapped with the usual clear plastic, which concealed which of the six different photos were used on the regular sleeve. The inner sleeve was a black and white photo which turned to color by invisible ink if it got wet.
Nothing about the album mentioned the invisible ink and how to activate it, though. When we were teens, my brother and I found out by accident when he spilled beer on it. (Yeah, we were those kind of teens.) We wiped the entire sleeve down with beer after that.
Led Zeppelin was the favorite band in my high school all four years I was there. They’d always win popularity contests on local radio stations, too.
The RINOs are just as corrupt and 90 of elected Republicans are RINOs.
You remind me of the 9 year old young lady, I needed to again remind her she is to sit in her bus seat while it is in motion. Three minutes later she is at my shoulder complaining about some one who was messing with her $500 something. Really a $500 what? In the possession of a 9 year old.
So what’s your point. The corrupt who ever they are need to go.
Trump won “bigly.” Many of the RINOs are gone in both Houses. It’s Trump’s party now.
Get over it and yourself. You are so out of touch. Maybe you should join the Democrats so you have something to bitch about.
You are such a loser. Sucks to be you.
DOGE is a welcome beginning but most of the trillions in debt is going to fund Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Even Trump and Musk won’t touch that third rail,
Where have you been. They ARE “touching it.”
The hell if they are. That’s a perennial Dirtbagocrat lie, even though they’re the ones who want to tax those programs.
Are you in California? You sure talk like it!
Wow, you know about DOGE. I notice they didn’t hire you.
Gee, three weeks into Trump’s presidency and you are already whining and moaning and wringing your hands.
I’m glad they went after the MEDIA first! I’m sure PRESIDENT TRUMP had plenty of “leads” for The Musketeers to follow! Now the left uses “musketeers” as a SLUR because of the youth of some -SOME – of them. I would use Musketeers for the Historical reference to those who PROTECT and FIGHT for right!
I would bet that PRESIDENT TRUMP’S Team KNEW the media had been financed through USAID and there was MASSIVE FRAUD throughout. Great start – the leftmedia has been exposed and DEFUNDED – unless some oblama/biden “judge” steps in!
Now there should be COLLUSION or RICO charges!
Leave it to the D-Bags to be hypocrites and projectionists about everything They constantly tell us kids are our future leaders, innovators and scientists – so long as they’re hammer headed “woke” mutants with double digit IQs.
Now Musk has his whiz kids uncover close to a trillion dollars in corruption in ONE WEEK and saved the taxpayers 44.5 billion, if I remember correctly. And some of those kids have IQs of 160 and 180.
D-Bags are stupid scum.
We really to stop using the term “drunken sailors”.
At least they waste THEIR own money, not ours.
How about “drunken lobbyists?” Or “Hunter on crack?”
They failed to steal last years election and so their beating out their Brains over it all
The Democrats reaction to a government audit is par for the course. Democrats are ideologically wired to solve the world’s problems as they see them with other people’s money. (Too often, they seem to create the problem to solve in order to throw money at it, but that’s another discussion, ) They never concede that the last scheme they dreamed up was a failure because it was a bad idea; they scream that it failed because it wasn’t funded well enough.
DOGE and Trump represent a fiscal, surgical strike against the entire Dem-think.
While many of the loudest protesters are sweating over the impropriety that will be laid bear, with their hands deep in the cookie jar, less deeply fraudulent objectors are simply gobsmacked by the notion that their chance to do “good” for someone–preferably someone they deem worthy due to some immutable physical or psychological characteristics who they can sweep under the “progressive” circus tent as voters–is being abruptly curtailed.
I can’t believe it. This seems like child’s play for the DOGE team. They blindsided the deep state. This all happened so fast.
Trump can only lessen the economic collapse of the US with all these measures but not prevent it. His best action now is the cleaning up of the FIA,CIA,USAID.
Because of TULSI GABBARD Trump will not go to war with Russia,Iran,China.
It would mean the economic collapse of the US.
On FEB 8 the former Defense Minister of Israel YOAV GALLANT,in an interview to the Israeli press said that on Oct 7 he had authorized the HANNIBAL DIRECTIVE. That means when you do the math that:
1. Of the 850 Israeli civilians killed about 85% were killed by ISRAELI soldiers. The fact the Israeli people don’t protest shows how fanatical they are, lack of intelligence and lucidity.
2. The Hannibal Directive means to prevent an Israeli soldier or civilian being taken as a prisoner then the army has to kill the Israeli. Hundreds of cars full of Israelis were destroyed by Israeli helicopters on Oct 7, 365 Israelis were killed in a music festival by Israeli soldiers on Oct 7,etc.
350 Israeli soldiers were killed by Hamas and 50 taken as POWs,not as hostages, since they were legitimate targets. And 200 civilians taken as hostages. Hamas was mostly interested in getting hostages and POWs.
Have you ever noticed the amount of downvotes you always manage to rack up as the day goes on?
There is a reason that you are so longwinded in a comment board. No one in the real world will publish your verbose crap.
But if it is true that the Gallant, who has been condemned by the ICC (International Criminal Court) along with Netanyahu for war crimes, has publicly admitted the Hannibal Directive was enforced.
The doctrine, written in 1986 in response to the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers in Lebanon, gave permission for Israeli forces to fire on enemies holding their comrades hostage, even if the Israelis get killed.
It was officially terminated in 2016,then reactivated on Oct 7. And for the first applied not only to soldiers but to Israeli CIVILIANS.
ASA KASHER, the philosopher who wrote the IDF’s (Israeli Defense Force) CODE of CONDUCT
, and who is still alive, has said
”There is absolutely nothing [in the code] to allow someone to kill an Israeli citizen, in UNIFORM or NOT”
Investigations by Haaretz (Israeli journal) and The Electronic Intifada (pro-Paletinian ) indicate that the directive’s deployment was WIDESPREAD
and INDISCRIMINATE, contributing to a significant number of Israeli casualties.
In January 2024, YEDIOT AHARONOT (Israel’s most popular and read journal) reported that the order to apply the Hannibal Directive had been issued unambiguously by Israel’s high command during the 7 October attack, despite the risks it posed to civilians.
Asa Kasher, has also described the directive as
“unlawful, unethical, and horrifying.”
He called for an investigation into its deployment, particularly at army facilities near the Gaza border.
There is speculation that YAHYA SINWAR the man who planned Oct 7 made sure that the Israeli army learned that Hamas had the plan to get as many Israeli soldiers as POWs and civilians as hostages during the attack.
That he believed Netanyahu would activate the Hannibal Directive.
Sinwar had been imprisoned for life in 1989 ,16 years before the Israeli army left Gaza in 2005.
Was he in prison for killing Israeli civilians?
No,but because as head of Hamas counter espionnage department in Gaza he was in charge of finding out Palestinians who worked as spies for Israel against Hamas. In 1989 Gaza was OCCUPIED territory, the Israeli army was everywhere.
According to the UN charter an occupied people have the right to armed revolt. And killing spies is accepted, they are legitimate targets.Sinwar authorized the execution of several. For that he was imprisoned by Israel.
He was in prison for 22 years until 2011 and learned the Israeli mentality and supposedly knew it was highly probable Israel would activate the Hannibal Directive if it learned dozens and
dozens and dozens of Israelis were being captured.
TLDR…..don’t care.
Maybe this is closer to home.Recently Trump recreated the ”White House FAITH office”,in charge of helping churches and charity groups.
The one who heads it is PAULA WHITE-CAIN, female preacher who has her own ministry. She preaches the PROSPERITY gospel which teaches this:
1. Her followers have to give her 10% of their SALARIES .
2. In exchange God will give them RICHES and HEALTH,but it has to be given to her.
It is obvious she is a holy huckster as are all the Prosperity Gospel preachers. Trump could have chosen for the post a holy person, but instead chose a holy con woman. Is that the Gospel according to Trump?
TLDR…..I don’t care.
Trump has never had any intention of going to war with any country, especially not Russia or China, and America could wipe out the Iranian mullahs, their Republican Guard, all their infrastructure and their Navy just by pushing buttons. The notion of an actual war with troop combat is ridiculous. The same goes for Gaza, which is nothing but a target wherein any ground sweeps will be conducted by the IDF.
Tulsi Gabbard has absolutely no control over President Trump. That’s another ridiculous notion.
1. The ridiculous lie that 850 Israeli civilians killed about 85% were killed by ISRAELI soldiers is the most whackadoo imaginable. Not even the Hamas homos who originated it believe that. The fact the Israeli people don’t believe such insane horseshit shows how rational and lucid they are. Only a lunatic could believe such a a reverse reality whopper.
2. The Hannibal Directive is the most extreme load of Hamas/ Psuedostinian bullshit ever spewed by those subhumans, and all they ever spewed is bullshit. The only Israelis the IDF kills are Psuedostinian jihadi terrorists.
I can honestly say this time I’ve ever encountered the insanely stupid lie that the IDF carried out the 10-7 murder jihad atrocities.
Hamas did’;n t murder 350 IDF soldiers and are utterly incapable of such a feat.
Choke on a camel turd, Mohammad.
Tulsi Gabbard is now head of intelligence and has to DAILY report to Trump
on the real geopolitical situation.
It is obvious she was chosen by Trump for that position because months before he had become convinced that she is brilliant and would tell him the truth. Even if it was not to his liking. That she is NOT a Yes-Woman who would tell him what he wants
to hear, but what he needs to here.
Nobody denies Palestinians also killed Israeli civilians, the attack was in three waves on Oct 7.First Hamas, then came Palestinian Jihad and other armed groups. The second group undeniable went in to kill and kill and kill.
Then a third wave of non-uniformed people entered and it is believed at least some were gang members, since they had guns.
I’m raising my hand – yes, Jonathan? Why was this off topic comment even post?
We know why DOGE terrifies Democrats. They are corrupt.
DOGE is just one step under the government being run under a trusteeship. But it’s purpose is similar when either person goes bankrupt or an irresponsible person who has inherited money has his/her finances under the management of a trustee. DOGE has the task to rein in wasteful federal spending along with finding reasonable areas to cut the federal government’s costs.
Tell people who complain about this process that if they think this is bad now, if the status quo remained pre-DOGE then the USD would have eventually become as worthless as the post-WW1 German Mark. The American national debt in relative terms is much worse than the WW1 war reparations that was placed on Germany. United States owes the principal and interest on an amount of debt it can NEVER payoff! To prevent the collapse of the American economy, DOGE is just the first step. That’s cutting domestic spending but the worst hasn’t yet hit home. Eventually, the federal government will need to retire the majority of its debt by giving Treasury debt instrument (T-bills, T-notes and T-bond) holders a haircut. That means Uncle Sam will need to payoff bond holders as an example, giving them only 60% of their principal (eg. you’ll get $600 for $1000 bond) or maybe even less. Also you might only get half of your total interest payable or maybe even less. This is inevitable and when this happens, the USD’s worth will take a severe hit and at that time it may even lose its status as the world’s reserve currency.
The problem with most Americans is that they’ve been insulated up until now by the realities of the federal government’s corrupt money management. They’ve also been gaslighted that the national debt is nothing to worry about and that not to worry about the national debts’ interest payments that total more than the annual defense budget. Americans can no longer afford the luxury of living in blissful ignorance or else they do so at their own peril.
