It’s hard out there for a terrorist supporter embedded in the United States government. You work hard, you slave away and you leak to the media. You try to undermine Israel and help Hamas, but meanwhile your heart bleeds for the innocent Al Qaeda terrorists rotting away and getting their PhDs in Koranology at Gitmo.
Gitmo was one area where Biden outperformed Obama. While Obama struggled to free all the Al Qaeda, Taliban and other terrorists from Gitmo, Biden has set nearly all of them loose. Except for the last ones.
And that’s because between Oct 7 and Election Day, freeing Al Qaeda terrorists suddenly looks ‘bad’.
This has frustrated terrorist supporters in the administration who don’t see why Islamic terrorists killing, raping and kidnapping their way across Israel should interfere with their lovely dream of freeing Islamic terrorists from Gitmo.
The Biden administration was close to transferring 11 detainees out of the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to a country in the Middle East in October 2023, but abruptly halted the move amid concerns about political optics after Hamas’ attack on Israel, according to four U.S. officials familiar with the planning.
Not national security. Optics.
More than seven months later, the administration has not set a new date for the transfer, the officials said, and the detainees remain at Guantanamo with no clarity on when, or if, it will happen.
They’ve got planes to catch. Then hijack. Then fly into buildings.
The holdup has frustrated administration officials who said they believe election-year politics are supplanting President Joe Biden’s policy of reducing the population at Guantanamo, and ultimately closing the facility. These officials said they are concerned the likelihood that the transfer takes place before November’s presidential election diminishes the closer the election gets.

The 11 detainees are either citizens of Yemen or have ties to the country, the officials said. They were scheduled to be resettled in Oman, according to the officials.
A senior administration official suggested Oman also has at times since October not wanted the transfer to take place.
Oman doesn’t want our used Al Qaeda terrorists? Shocking! Why is this Muslim country so Islamophobic?
But why not send them to Martha’s Vineyard? Or the White House? Since these were nice innocent people whom we cruelly locked up merely they knew a guy named ‘Osama’ and had their own RPGs, there’s no reason not to. We can just call Martha’s Vineyard the new Gitmo. And make sure no one can escape.

When that photo of a captured Khaled Sheikh Mohammed (I think it was) first appeared, I remember thinking “where is John Belushi when we again need him?” Alas, he was no longer with us.
Gitmo is a disgrace. So just how long will these people languish in prison ? Of these 35 men, most have never even been charged with a crime. None has had a fair trial. So is this justice ? Just in the case of Khaled that he has not been executed long ago just bogglers the mind because that would have been justice.
They’re not criminals, they’re enemies who don’t follow the laws of war.
Trials don’t apply. The only thing to do with them was put a rope around them or a bullet in them.
Still the only thing to do with them.
