The appeasement lobby only has one big idea when it comes to Islamic terrorists and any other enemies.

Israel has been living through this particular ‘peace process’ nightmare for a generation.
Now, faced with growing Hezbollah attacks, the Biden administration has one big bright idea.
American officials recently proposed, in a virtual meeting with their Israeli counterparts, a land swap between Lebanon and Israel as part of a comprehensive agreement to end the border conflicts and resolve the land dispute between the two countries, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida reported on Sunday.
Amos Hochstein, Biden’s envoy, insisted on Israel turning over gas fields to Hezbollah all the way back in… 2022. That was supposed to avert conflict.
We know how that worked out.
The Lebanese Hezbollah terror group on Sunday morning published a video threatening the gas extraction infrastructure at an Israeli offshore field, near a disputed maritime border between the countries.
Hezbollah has recently escalated its rhetoric and actions over the border dispute, after Israel moved a natural gas drilling vessel into its Karish field, which Lebanon claims is a disputed area. In its boldest move, Hezbollah sent four drones toward the Karish platform several weeks ago, all of which were intercepted by the Israel Defense Forces.
This was exactly what surrendering part of the gas field to Hezbollah was supposed to prevent.
But appeasing Islamic terrorists doesn’t work. Defeating them does.
Hezbollah will claim any territory it gets and attack anyway because that is what Islamic terrorists do. Hezbollah is backed by Iran. It’s going to attack when Tehran tells it to. As an Islamic terror group, attacking non-Muslims and dominating them is a fundamental religious way. So making deals with it won’t work.
Just like making deals with Hamas doesn’t work.
On the other hand, two outstanding issues were raised in Washington’s proposal for a diplomatic settlement. The first is the “Point B1” issue, the westernmost border point of the “Blue Line,” overlooking the Israeli tourist site at Rosh Hanikra.
The proposal for this point involves recognizing it as part of Lebanon, with UN forces deployed there as a neutral party for both sides.
The UN forces are absolutely useless and pull back whenever there’s any conflict. (Nor is the UN remotely neutral.)
Lebanon is controlled by Hezbollah. Treaties signed by its puppet regimes are worthless. The regime exists purely for plausible deniability purposes so D.C. can keep arming it and providing it with foreign aid.
The 2022 deal signed off on by Lapid and Bennett in Israel disqualified either of them from holding office again.
Doing the same thing would be criminal insanity. Appeasing Islamic terrorists never works. If any single event should have broken through on that, it would be Oct 7. Any perceived economic benefits for terrorists just sets up a bigger attack.
Giving them land is a way they dishonor you. Just encourages them to do more.

Appeasing them is like moving one’s throat closer to their knife.
Hochstein has been completely on Hezbollah’s side throughout. Anytime there is an issue, he takes the position most inimical to Israel’s interests. Israel should not have anything to do with any talks where he is an interlocutor.

The two-state solution simply cannot and will not work. A diplomatic solution is impossible where the desire of one side is total annihilation of the other.
The bloodshed of war is all that remains to us. We can pontificate at length about the evils of war and the killing of civilians. Of course it is evil! But what recourse is there in a situation such as this? The only way to ameliorate the collateral damage is to warn in advance of the impending doom.

It’s going to get a lot worse – I am praying President Trump is back in office January, 2025 – it’s still going to get a lot worse – this is the final push and WW3 seems inevitable.

Sadly, many Israelis do not understand that deals with jihad-driven Muslims cannot be made. Yesterday, it was reported that half a million Israelis turned out in a mass protest to demand that their government do more to reach a deal with Hamas to have hostages released. They do not realize that their fury is misplaced. Hamas has refused all offers by Israel. There is only one way to rescue the hostages, and that is for Israel to escalate its Gaza offensive and adopt a scorched earth strategy, the goal being Hamas’s unconditional surrender. Many Israelis cling to the delusion that their Muslim enemies can somehow be propitiated. After nearly eighty years of continual jihad, a paradigm shift is long overdue. It behooves Netanyahu to address his nation and calmly explain that military action is the only realistic way to rescue the remaining hostages.
alas, many liberal and lefty Israelis have more emotional hatred towards Netanyahu than towards Hamas.
also many israelis, especially those forever demonstrating in Tel Aviv, etc., are not very bright , or religiously Jewish, despite their Jewish genes.
Give the terrorists land? How about 2 feet by 5 feet and 6 feet deep! 😡
Or just put them in a pyrolytic incinerator, and save the land for the deserving.
Gad!! One can only wonder how in the name of all that’s holy can this nation, this world, put up with the incompetence of Old Joe and “Caramel” for the next four plus months.
Oct 7 is what land for peace has gotten Israel.
The way land has to be used in relation to the notion of promoting peace is the polar opposite of Israel giving land for peace. Incentives do not have to be positive, they can be negative. The longer it takes for Arabs to make peace, the less land should be considered available to give to them. At some point, which has passed, the amount should be none. At this point, the reverse should be true. Arabs should be at the risk of losing land and facing removal, which is what Jews faced when Arabs seized land.
I’m in favor of land for peace. It’s the only way there will be peace. Israel should take the land it’s enemies are on and evict them.
The Blob, of which the Biden regime is a feeble tentacle, wants any upstanding democracy eliminated so world control can pass to the psychotic oligarchs who exploit ignorance and stupidity to get richer and to depopulate the earth and erase borders. Israel is one of a few nations in which representative government persists, despite the efforts for three quarters of a century, to eradicate it. It’s not pro-Arab sentiment or anti-Jewish sentiment that prompts minions like Blinken to propose ridiculous solutions to the challenges facing Israelis; it’s their fealty to the “postwar world order,” a scheme designed by communists and exploited by oligarchs to erode nationalism and individual wealth and promote “globalism.” These same connivers want the USA, Hungary, and other representative governments to crumble, just as the intend Israel to crumble.
Its not going to happen. That land belongs to God as well, and those who are pushing this land deal are cursed. You just watch events in the future.
