Are you in the middle of a bitter custody dispute? Just take your kids to an activist therapist, declare them transgender, and then use that as a weapon against your ex-husband or wife.

This exciting new development in destroying the lives of children comes to us from California. Where else?

A newly revised California bill would treat parents’ refusal to “affirm” their child’s gender identity as a violation of health, safety, and welfare in the context of custody disputes.

The bill, which has already passed the State Assembly, would require judges adjudicating such disputes over transgender-identifying children to favor the parent who “affirms” the child’s preferred identity. Earlier this week the authors released an updated version that specifically defines “the health, safety, and welfare” of a child to include “a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity”—a change that the bill’s opponents worry will open the door to non-affirmation being treated as abuse.

“When you say that gender affirmation is in the child’s best interest for health, safety, and welfare, it takes nothing to say [non-affirmation] is now abuse—because you’re not taking care of the health, safety, and welfare if you’re not affirming them,” said Erin Friday, a San Francisco attorney and co-lead of the parent coalition Our Duty.

That’s just part of it.

Baking this into custody battles all but ensures a steady flow of child cannon fodder for the woke culture war as parents prove how little they care about the health, safety, and welfare of their children by fast-tracking them to castration, mastectomies, higher risks of suicide and all sorts of diseases to win a custody battle.

California is breaking out a nuclear weapon and handing it out in custody battles to turn more healthy and normal kids into culture war recruits.

And parents who win custody battles and regret what they’ve done will discover it’s too late. Custody arrangements will likely make it impossible to leave California and having listed their kids as transgender, they’ll lose them if they don’t keep pushing them through the ‘gender-affirming care’ meat grinder.
