On July 4th, David Horowitz Freedom Center CEO Daniel Greenfield took part in the annual memorial at LAX airport marking the first Islamic terrorist attack on the West Coast.
Held annually, the Independence From Terror – Victoria Hen memorial – marks the murder of the young woman, as well as others who were killed and wounded in the terrorist attack by an illegal alien that occurred just 10 months after the September 11, 2001 tragedy.
The memorial, located in the garden alongside the Bob Hope U.S.O. Building near the exit of Terminal 6 Parking Structure, serves as a symbol of resistance to jihadist violence and a commitment to peace, resilience, and justice.
This year’s guest speaker was Daniel Greenfield, CEO of the David Horowitz Freedom Center and editor of FrontpageMagazine.com. Greenfield’s remarks draw attention to the continued efforts to resist jihadism and the vital need for deporting illegal alien terrorists.
The tragic deaths of Victoria Hen and Yakov Aminov were the result of a senseless terrorist attack orchestrated by Hesham Hadyet, an Egyptian Muslim who was in the United States illegally at the time. The attack was a stark reminder of the threat posed by jihadist ideology and the need for continued vigilance. It also underscored the dangers of unchecked illegal immigration, particularly when individuals with radical intentions evade proper scrutiny.
