Who are you going to believe, the media or your lying ears?
“A U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission official said his agency will begin a formal review process that could lead to new regulations.”
“We need to be talking about regulating gas stoves, whether that’s drastically improving emissions or banning gas stoves entirely,” said Commissioner Richard Trumka. “And I think we ought to keep that possibility of a ban in mind, because it’s a powerful tool in our tool belt and it’s a real possibility here.”
The backlash to this was massive with Republicans eagerly seizing on the environmentalist proposal.
Democrats have banned gas stoves in multiple cities in California, as well as in New York City and Seattle. But faced with the backlash, Democrats and their media began shouting that this was all a conspiracy theory that some Republicans had made up.
Trumka, in keeping with Dem urban gas bans, claimed that, “to be clear, CPSC isn’t coming for anyone’s gas stoves. Regulations apply to new products.”
That’s a way to dissuade people from protesting because the gas stove ban will happen to someone else. Except eventually your gas stove will break down or you’ll move and then you will be that ‘someone else’.
The Biden administration and the rest of the CPSC are denying now that they intend a ban. And the media is acting as if this was a story made up by Republicans, rather than in response to a proposal by a commissioner and that was following up on multiple Democrat gas bans.
Though Trumka has previously expressed interest in considering stringent regulations on gas stoves including a ban, the other four members of the CPSC have not gone as far in their support for applying such stringent restrictions on the appliances. E&E News reported that in October, Trumka proposed directing the agency’s staff to start a rulemaking to regulate gas stoves. But Trumka acknowledged a lack of support at the time and withdrew the amendment. Instead, the commissioners agreed to “to obtain public input on hazards associated with gas stoves.”
That amounts to a bureaucratic roundabout way of getting to the same destination.

Capitalism’s on-demand economy wherein the market is governed by individual free choice and consumer demand for goods and services must die in order to bring in the New World Order.
We are being transitioned to a scarcity economy in which there is no real market and goods and services are controlled by our would-be overlords.
Right now, we are being trained and disciplined.
truebearing says
Consider the symmetry of the left’s engineered lack of life essentials. Water, food, heat, air conditioning, etc. are all things that can threaten or cause death. Fear drives the lemmings — their perspective.
Monopoly is always the left’s way to leverage power. If gas stoves are banned, that leaves wood, coal, or electricity. Coal is already dead. Wood will be easily banned on environmental grounds (lies)., which leaves electricity, which they are working feverishly to control. No gas powered cars. Now no gas stoves. They plan to monopolize electricity and thereby control all power for cooking , heating, or transportation. .
truebearing says
So why then has the left ignored upgrading the power grid? It can’t begin to handle the monopoly they seek. Is this all a ruse to conceal their radical, Malthusian population reduction agenda, or is it a multi=purpose evil?
Algorithmic Analyst says
Like in India under Socialism, when I was there: rolling blackouts every day, and a bureaucracy to manage the blackouts.
Jeff Bargholz says
Did you know that asshole, Paul Erlich, is still alive and spouting his doomsday bullshit? I saw him on TV yesterday. What was his stupid book? “The Population Bomb?” We were all supposed to starve to death in the 70s.
Lefties never learn and never change.
Algorithmic Analyst says
Yeah, one of my pet peeves. Up until his book the intelligent population in USA was still having kids.
Lightbringer says
That’s an astute analysis of it. My take is, “We are royally fu**ed!”
Steven Kardas says
Well maybe the plan is that we peasants will only be able to cook 2-3 days a week or maybe no cooking at all. Just raw food. Bugs ! We are to eat bugs now, raw…. to save the planet of course….
The key point here that all us peasants must understand is that the powerful, wealthy and elite will not be affected in the slightest by the policies and misery they force on us.
John Sweet says
I’m sure Paul Erhlich and his ilk would be great with no cooking. There are too many of us as it is.
Doug Corrigan Jr. says
You would be wrong; Paul Erhlich, Michael Moore and their comrades wouldn’t put up with such restrictions for 10 seconds if they could help it, and any legislation would be contain special loopholes for t hem.
The regulations would be shaped to exempt them, just as Congress exempted itself and its staff from Social Security.
Lightbringer says
It is surprising that anyone even remembers Paul Erlich today, much less grants him credibility. He is a fossil, a relic of a grim bygone age that delighted in horror movies and horror “news”, the public and reality be damned.
Jeff Bargholz says
They’re eating cockroaches on TV. I saw Nicole Kidman do it. I think it was fake but the message is clear.
Jeff Bargholz says
I’ve seen people eating bugs on TV. I almost barfed. That may be good enough for Amazon Indians and those weirdos in Thailand who eat scorpions but I’d rather starve to death.
Algorithmic Analyst says
Crispy Critters. I’m surprised they haven’t come out with fried grasshoppers as a snack food.
Chief Mac says
There is absolutely no science to support their moronic claims.
Lightbringer says
Science? In a debased age in which a jumped-up, petty government bureaucrat can say that he is “the Science(tm)”? Who cares about real, actual science in which careful measurement and falsifiability (as per Carl Popper) are applied to the solutions of problems? Just give the computer the solution you expect and let it crank out the right data to “prove” it.
So I assume you mean real, honest science as described above.
Alabaster Mcgillicuddy says
Isn’t it strange that we the people elect people to represent us who then establish agencies to work against us?

This of course like the ban on DDT is because of Lies and Junk Science as well as Politics I mean gas stoves have been around a long time but its only now their causing Global Warming/Climate Change its the same with Livestock we have Big Brother regulating and controlling our lives 24/7
Doug says
DDT IS — repeat IS — a lethal chemical. IF you sully your position by dismissing obvious truth, why would anyone take your protests about gas stoves seriously?
CowboyUp says
So’s water. A buddy of mine and his 4 brothers lived at Homestead, and used to run behind the DDT truck when it was fogging the neighborhood. They’re healthy and so are their kids, and now grandkids. My grandma had a canister sprayer of it, and I’d spray the plants in her greenhouse and garden. The ban on DDT was BS, based on BS.
Lightbringer says
Yes, but think of all of those pesky little black and brown babies who died of malaria as a result of the DDT ban. Perhaps 500 million, perhaps more. What a win for the WEF crowd!
But where was Bill Gates with his magical mosquito netting? Isn’t that his solution to malaria? Give everybody a net for his bed, even though he probably sleeps on a pallet on the dirt floor with nowhere to hang the net and the nets wear out after one washing? Well, his intentions are the best, so we’re fine with it. He is, after all, the man who said he would put an end to the ancient scourge of malaria. And it’s the thought that counts.
Jeff Bargholz says
Yeah, “Green Dawn” by Rachel Carson. She made up those DDT lies out of whole cloth. What a cunt. DDT gets in human fat cells but doesn’t harm anybody. And malaria kills a lot of people because DDT has been banned.. Mosquitos are deadly.
Lightbringer says
DDT is lethal to mosquitoes. If you’re not a mosquito you can eat the stuff by the spoonful and it will do you no harm.
Doug says
You can contest the rationales for banning DDT, but there’s no question that it’s a highly lethal chemical which almost took out the entire North American population of our national symbol, the bald eagle before it was banned.
IF you sully your position by dismissing obvious truth, why would anyone take your protests about gas stoves seriously?
Do better.
CowboyUp says
BS, DDT did not. Rachel Carson was one of the first American enviro-hoaxers.
Jeff Bargholz says
Her stupid book was a work of fiction from start to finish. What a scummy pig.
Lightbringer says
Horse hockey. Read the real research notes on the experiment that the press and the holy St. Rachel Carson managed to lie so efficiently about.
Jeff Bargholz says
That’s a thirty year old canard. Do you live in a time machine or do you just have our head up your ass?
Michin David says
Only possible with the compliant media
Algorithmic Analyst says
Part of the general Marxist-Leninist strategy, basically restrict supply and increase demand. Which drives prices up.
Best example is California water supply. No new giant dams and reservoirs since the 1970s or so, while flooding the state with illegal immigrants, so state population had doubled since then. The object is to have a permanent drought, even while we are drenched by torrential rains, as currently. That also gives the excuse for new government agencies populated by useless leftist parasites to regulate what little water remains.
Many more details but I have a headache so I better stop 🙂
truebearing says
There is a wealth of water that falls from California to Washington that could be collected and transferred to drought stricken areas up and own the coast. Archimedes Screws can pump water very efficiently and for once, solar energy would make sense in that application.
The entire nation could begin storing trillions of gallons of run-off to create an irrigation system that could send water to any drought stricken area. but that would eliminate the food crises and the leverage the left gets from the fear of death. Instead, the left engineers disasters to drive their anthrocidal agenda.
Jeff Bargholz says
There are aqueducts all over here in California. There is NEVER a drought. That’s just media and government bullshit. Every time I turn on my faucets or shower, water comes out. And it’s been raining here for a week.
Doug says
That’s not untrue but it lacks the depth needed to understand the problem.
Most people get their news primarily from TV. Ninety percent of TV news broadcasting that people watch comes from the three commercial over-the-air networks. Five percent of viewers watch primarily Fox via cable. Another five percent is consumed from MSNBC and CNN.
The math is clear. Ninety-five percent of Americans choose to inform themselves via far-left media. Little has changed in the last 40-plus years.
Sure, people also follow small providers like Newsmax, but each is a drop in the bucket.
Americans CHOOSE leftwink sources for their news. If there’s any suspicion that the rating numbers are not accurate, pivot your attention to newspapers. In the few remaining cities where there remain enough newspapers to compete, the leftwink newspaper almost always has substantially higher circulation. For example, the Washington Post (left)/Washington times, Boston Globe (left)/Herald, Detroit Free Press (left) / Detroit News, NY Times, USA Today, Newsday & Daily News (left) / Wall Street Journal & NY Post come to mind.
The enemy is not without, like the media but within.
Lightbringer says
I’ve been saying it for years. The Fourth Estate is our Fifth Column.
Jeff Bargholz says
I don’t watch any of that shit. Just Newsmax and Real America’s Voice. Not everybody is a retard.
Algorithmic Analyst says
I don’t know if Americans choose that stuff or not. The only time I watched TV the last few years was when I was laid up in a hospital bed recovering from surgery. I just kept switching from channel to channel. None of it was any good. The only thing I remember that was somewhat interesting was a tennis match, maybe Wimbledon or something.
Spurwing Plover says
At least two local restaurants use Gas for cooking ending all uses of gas based upon Politics and Junk Science is totally irresponsible but just typical for the Liberal Democrats/Globalists
Lightbringer says
All serious cooks, and plenty of dilletantes, use gas stoves to cook. It’s far superior to electric. If you prefer an electric oven, that’s understandable, but a gas range is the only way to do stovetop cooking.
DJ22 says
Does “drastically improving emissions” mean catalytic converters on our stoves? Lord, save us from these deranged tyrants!
