Between COVID masks and keffiyah terror masks at campus rallies, masking has practically become a leftist identity marker. Efforts to ban wearing masks in public, including rules that date back to the KKK era, were challenged by leftists, including Jennifer Garner’s anti-Israel daughter, because it would hurt the congentially neurotic.

Now suddenly they want to ban masks. But only for law enforcement.

Leftist activists, including the 50501 movement, is promoting a California bill titled the ‘No Secret Police Act (SB 627)’ to “ban local/state/federal law enforcement, w/ some exceptions, from covering their faces when interacting w/ the public & require them to wear identifying info.”

First, California obviously has no ability to pass laws binding federal law enforcement. Second, while law enforcement personnel normally should not wear masks and should have identifying information visible, having leftist groups target law enforcement officers and their families changes the game.

A law like this should be paired with anti-doxxing enforcement. Without it, it just opens up law enforcement to leftist terror.

And that seems to be the goal here.

The Left is for masks when they protects its radicals and against them when they protect their targets.
