Why didn’t the Obama administration do more to sound the alarm over Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign?
Few former officials have explained it, but in a new interview for The Global POLITICO, Lisa Monaco, President Obama’s top homeland security and counterterrorism adviser, describes a White House afraid of “doing the Russians’ work for them.” By going public before the election with evidence that the Kremlin was trying to help Donald Trump, the Obama team feared, they’d be accused of intervening to help Hillary Clinton. So they mostly kept quiet despite intense lobbying from fellow Democrats to say more before the voting.
Uh-huh. Not because it was a backdoor justification for spying on their political opponents.
Now Lisa has thoughts on the problem of people accusing the most political Justice Department since the Kennedy administration of being politicized.
Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco decried Republican claims that the Justice Department has been politicized against former President Donald Trump, saying those accusations have contributed to an “unprecedented rise” in threats against law enforcement and other officials.
Our critics are all domestic terrorists. Anyone who questions our abuses is contributing to a rise in threats.
Challenging the DOJ is really incitement to violence.
If we’re going to have a banana republic, at least we could have warmer weather.

Didnt all these Obama appointees have to swear allegience to Obama first and foremost- above the constitution?
The people responsible for the unprecidented rise in actual violence against local law enforcement and Republican officials, are worried about threats? Break out the world’s smallest violin. Where was this crooked ho when antifa and blm were rebelling and setting up autonimous zones, or attacking federal courthouses? Cheering them on.
