Jonathan Brown is a Georgetown professor, a Muslim convert married into a terrorist family and a slick defender of the worst atrocities of Islam.

“I don’t think it’s morally evil to own somebody,” Jonathan Brown explained to attendees at his lecture. “Slavery cannot just be treated as a moral evil in and of itself.”
To a man who argued that slavery was wrong, Brown retorted, “How can you say, if you’re Muslim, the Prophet of God had slaves. He had slaves. There’s no denying that. Was he—are you more morally mature than the Prophet of Allah? No you’re not.”
“A male owner of a female slave has the right to sexual access to her… her ‘consent’ would be meaningless since she is his slave,” Brown had also explained in the past.
“Slave women do not have agency over their sexual access, so their owner can have sex with them,” he appears to have written on Facebook.
Jonathan Brown continued defending and extolling these views even as actual academics were canceled for the most minor offenses against political correctness.
More recently, Brown argued that the Islamic repression of non-Muslims was fine because they could have just converted to Islam.
“So, in general, it’s correct to say that in Islamic civilization, both in theory and in practice, non-Muslims living under Muslim rule were called dhimmis and were lower in status than Muslims. But all they had to do to become part of this elite was say ‘There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.’”
After America’s air strikes on Iran’s nukes, Brown went viral for suggesting that “I hope Iran does some symbolic strike on a base”.
That’s not just coming from an academic. As Mark Dubowitz of FDD points out, “Brown is married to Laila Al-Arian, a journalist for the Muslim Brotherhood propaganda outlet Al Jazeera. Her father, Sami Al-Arian, was deported from the U.S. to Turkey. He was accused of providing material support to the US-designated and Iran-backed terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad.”
The real question is how long Georgetown, which educates our foreign policy elite, will keep on giving Brown a pass. And how much pressure will it take to get Georgetown to do the right thing.

The not-so-simple question is slavery. Western Christianity did away with it in modern times, but it still exists, even now in western countries in different forms. Some Amazon workers would be better off as slaves of a kind master who provided food, clothing, medical care and shelter. The Bible (shockingly) does not forbid the practice of slavery, but regulates it heavily in a humane way and absolutely forbids the stealing of men for sale into slavery. Scripture even contemplates that a man might choose to be a slave forever because he loves his master and prefers service to him rather than freedom.
The simple question is this: Is Islam compatible with Christian civilization? Of course not. Time for the exercise of rational, Christian intolerance of hostile foreign ideologies and religions in our midst.
The “slavery” included in the “Old Testament” is actually indentured servitude. If someone owes a debt he cannot repay he can pay it off by working for the debtor as a slave. The time of the servitude is limited unless the slave is so well treated he chooses to remain a slave after the time period ends. Even then he is disuaded from remaining and even that period is time limited.
The rules about how that “slave” must be treated are strict and sometimes more of a burden to the “owner” than a benefit. For example, if there is only one pillow it must be given to the slave before the master. Another form of slavery involves prisoners of war-all in all, not the slavery as we define it today.
This is far beyond “free speech”. The activities of Jonathan Brown and Laila Al-Arian meet the Constitutional definition of treason as specified in Article III, Section 3. The fact that Georgetown continues to facilitate such activities should put their accreditation and Federal funding at risk.
I hope Iran does some symbolic strike on Georgetown University. Or better yet, Perfessor Brownstain’s home. Both, actually.
