“So much for former President Donald Trump’s hollow cry of being persecuted by a two-tiered system of justice!”
This was the reaction of the liberal media following Hunter Biden’s conviction on gun charges.

Given the array of serious crimes allegedly committed by Biden family members, Hunter’s gun conviction represents the equivalent of nailing Al Capone over unpaid parking tickets.
Allegations against the Bidens include illegal influence peddling and failing to register as a foreign agent. Last year, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said: “I want to go back to where we were in January when we started this investigation. This was the narrative: the President’s son’s laptop was Russian disinformation; Hunter Biden was a legitimate business guy, just like Jared Kushner; No Biden ever took money from China — that’s what Joe Biden said; No money ever changed hands while Joe Biden was Vice President; Joe knew nothing about his son’s dealings; And Joe never met with or spoke with any of the foreign nationals who had wired the family money.”
The only reasons Hunter stood trial, and now faces prosecution for tax charges, are because A) IRS whistleblowers came forward and alleged Hunter benefited from special treatment, and B) the sweetheart deal the Justice Department negotiated with Hunter’s defense lawyers blew up when the presiding judge refused to go along with it.
“It appears,” said lawyers for one of the IRS whistleblowers, “that if it weren’t for the courageous actions of these whistle-blowers, who had nothing to gain and everything to lose, Hunter Biden would never have been charged at all.”
Judge Maryellen Noreika, a Trump appointee, said she would not “rubber stamp” the plea bargain given confusion over whether the deal applied only to the gun charges or included a resolution of the tax changes and/or whether the deal protected Hunter from any and all future charges.
As for special treatment, who foots the legal bill for Hunter’s primary defense lawyer Abby Lowell, the powerful A-lister whose past clients include big-name Democrats and Republicans? An IRS agent involved in the Hunter investigation testified before Congress that attorney Kevin Morris, also known as Hunter’s “sugar brother,” gave Hunter $5 million. Morris reportedly paid Hunter’s five-figure monthly rent for California homes; $875,000 for 11 of his paintings; $2 million in unpaid federal, state and local taxes; car payments on Hunter’s Porsche; accountants; other lawyers; travel expenses; child support payments; and payments to Hunter’s vendors and debtors.
President Joe Biden, after his son’s conviction, issued a statement that read in part:
“… I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal. Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that.”

Biden neglected to reiterate his previous statement that he would not pardon Hunter. Whether Joe Biden wins or loses the election, he immediately becomes a politically immune lame duck. But he won’t pardon his son? And, in the unlikely event Hunter gets jail time, father Joe won’t commute the sentence?
As to the supposedly nonexistent two-tiered judicial system, the FBI acquired the Hunter Biden laptop in December 2019 and did nothing for several months. But if not for the repair shop owner making a copy of its contents, the laptop might have remained buried. The copy ended up in the hands of Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who forced its public disclosure and the damning evidence connecting Joe to Hunter’s business dealings.
Several whistleblowers said the DOJ and the IRS “slow-walked” the Hunter investigations. This allowed the statute of limitations to expire on some of the most serious charges.
Finally, the “no such thing as an anti-Trump two-tiered system of justice” crowd must explain the special counsel’s refusal to charge Joe Biden with illegal possession of classified documents, going as far back as when he served in the Senate. But Trump, for allegedly violating the same Espionage Act, remains on the hook.
The system is actually 3 tiered although there can be blurring between them at times. Hunter should in theory be an untouchable (like all of the elite who always seem to “do no wrong” legally while factually is another matter) but his blatant stupidity WRT behaviour has pushed him nearer tier 2 which is that applied to “protected groups”; blacks, muslims, leftists and even professional criminals etc. whose proven crimes all too often go unpunished by the politically emasculated justice system.
However, tier 1 which applies to everyone else always receive the full brunt of legal retribution for crimes whether factual or fanciful and perfect examples are the UK grandmother gaoled for ?3 or 6 months for silently praying outside an abortion centre
or the Trump show trial debacle.

Well said, Michelle. Putting it at two tiers is simplistic. I suppose putting it that way makes it understandable , but the weaponisation of the FBI actually demonstrates there are no tiers because there is no coherent system in criminal matters. In civil matters cost, not justice, is the determining factor whether an issue ever gets there into court at all..
If only the political establishment was as good at instigating economic growth as they are with propaganda.

The left sees this as a WIN-WIN! First, they’ll scream from the rooftops “See – NO ONE is above the law” and THEN, this sort of sidelines Hunter and prevents him from causing MORE damage! BUT, there is NOTHING common with these two “incidents” of “justice”! One is a drummed up, unConstitutional lynching while the other is an EVIDENCE BASED CRIME! Oh, and don’t forget this entire “no one is above the law crap” would not even be a thing if not for the astute, BRAVE JUDGE who saw through the LEFT’s attempt to not only put Hunter ABOVE the law, but to make him INVINCIBLE from the law! I’m sure Joe will pardon him, but given his MENTAL INCAPACITY, it won’t – or SHOULDN’T – be considered a LEGAL ACTION!
In case you failed to notice, no crime charged against Hunter Biden was a crime that could lead back to our Pretender Resident (i.e., Old Joe). No charges for failure to pay Federal Income Taxes. No charges for Failure to Register as a Foreign Agent. No charges for extortion and bribery as (depending on who you are watching/listening to) as $18M to $35M rolled into one or the other of the couple of dozen shell companies created by the Bidens to try to conceal/camouflage where all this money was coming from and to whom it was going. NOTHING THAT COULD LEAD BACK TO OUR ‘DEAR LEADER’, OLD JOE. If and when such charges are ever filed and prosecuted against Hunter Biden, they will be tried AFTER the November 2024 Presidential Election. See how that works? Convenient, huh? The present Hunter Biden charges and convictions–just blue smoke and mirrors for the Democrats to try to claim that that Trump charges are not part of a two-tiered Federal Justice System when, in fact, they are.
the logic of justice is failed in america. how can a non citizen/felons/terrorists have more rights to enter the country illegally? get food, housing and cash then commit crimes and cause civil unrest without consequence? how many non citizens are out protesting to exterminate the jews, committing crimes, protesting in the streets causing civil unrest? shXt, how can a jew or anyone feel safe riding the subway, bus, train, or go to school, knowing at anytime some gang of illegals will befall the area with threats of violence. for those illegals who do commit violent crimes and arrested, near immediately released into public to commit more crimes. what a joke. the stupidity is boundless. if the intent of this government action is to remove all allegiance to any form of authority in america, its working. i heard certain portions of our country have reverted to the milita mode, citizens patrolling their neighborhoods to protect and serve. the offenders could be dropped at the nearest casino, where the tribal leaders have zero tolerance for drugs and violence. once the offender is on federal land and charged federally it becomes much more legally complicated to perform the catch and release. tribal leaders demand full extent of the law. unfortunately, this will fill the over full prisons making them unlivable. sounds like good consequences.

Approximately 30 current & former members of Congress are in bed with the Chinese collecting bribes & huge bonuses fixing legal problems, and obtaining favorable legislation to protect China’s financial & political interests. We have too many bad laws in this country and our constitutional liberties and freedoms are literally becoming buried beneath a mountain of them, which clever legal minds have used to set the precedent for more bad law. Which is why we have become a nation Not of stable laws but of inconstant and willful men and women. The last estimate was 36 million laws and counting when 3,000 years ago people couldn’t live by 10! Do those who make the laws ever consider that good people need few laws and law breakers are made no better by them?
That’s because, now, the good guys are in charge.
Meanwhile, it ain’t over yet. We’ll see if he actually serves time.
Larry’s article is well reasoned and accurate, but 99% of the public (mainly Dem public) will still argue what’s indeed perceived on a superficial level – namely that there IS justice on America and there is no two-tiered system. This is being hammered into our brains by the Left. In a way it would have been better if Hunter had walked. It’s surprising anyway that there was not one single juror who voted Not Guilty and had the jury hang.
Leftist logic weighs their transgressions divided by 100 and multiplies conservative transgressions by 100. It’s literally like how we judge children in relationship to adults.

Am I the only who notices that rather than an immense Biden Crime Family investigation and trial all we have is a gun charge on space cadet and bagman Hunter.?
One thing that I also wonder is why are congressional Republicans always saying that they have the evidence of Biden crimes yet so far not a single actual charge has been made. If they have the evidence- why and what are they waiting for? Is our side also being bribed??
Would it be going too far out on a limb to say Hunter’s gun violation trial was staged to be right after the farce/bogus/Salem style trial of Trump just so Democrats can claim that our corrupted Justice system is fair??
