What began with Trump seems to have escalated to Warren Buffett and Elon Musk among others. Call it collateral damage from a resistance culture that redefined whistleblowing as leftist activism.

Whistleblowing means warning about government abuses. But over the last 5 years, actual whistleblowing had given way to resistance culture which abused government offices to attack President Trump and to push assorted leftist agendas.

Leaking tax returns became another one of those ways.

ProPublica isn’t publishing an “investigation” using “whistleblowers”, it’s collaborating in the abuse of private citizens by leftist government officials. 

That’s the sort of thing that requires a whistleblower to hold those officials accountable.
