Recently, Kamala went off the teleprompter to counter some vocal detractors at one of her campaign stops. The Western Journal reports that at a rally in Wisconsin, “Vice President Kamala Harris responded to hecklers saying ‘Jesus is Lord’ by telling them they were in the wrong place.” Specifically, she told them they were at the wrong rally.
The Western Journal adds: “Wisconsinite Jennifer McKinney happened to capture on video the moment the hecklers had called out and posted it on Instagram, saying, ‘Everyone just cheered and screamed for killing babies. So that was disappointing.’”
I can’t help but feel that a moment like this reveals the real views of the speaker—the views usually never put to print or into the teleprompter.
Does Jesus and His Lordship have anything to do with American politics? Today’s secularists, like Kamala Harris, like to act as if America is and should be completely secular. Even if some of America’s founders were religious, we’ve got to move on.
Move on to what? A godless vision for society, for the nation? Again, what triggered the shouts, “Jesus is Lord,” was the celebrating of killing babies.
There’s a link between a godless worldview and the destruction of human life, born or unborn.
The 20th century was marred by those nations that relentlessly waged war against Judeo-Christian values.
The late British historian Paul Johnson writes in his book, The Quest for God, “The two greatest institutional tyrannies of the century—indeed of all time—the Nazi Reich and the Soviet Union, were Godless constructs: modern paganism in the first case and openly proclaimed atheist materialism in the second. The death-camps and the slave-camps were products not of God but of anti-God….Both these regimes persecuted Christians, the Soviet Union more thoroughly but in some respects less viciously than the Nazi Reich. Both these attempts to damage or crush Christianity failed utterly.”
Indeed, Christianity carried on worldwide—but in these two godless regimes, secularism caused the deaths of tens of millions.
Meanwhile, the very office that Kamala Harris strives for, the presidency, was an office created by those grounded in a Christian worldview. Law professor John Eidsmoe, who wrote the book, Christianity and the Constitution, notes that at least 50-52 of those 55 men were professing Christians in good-standing in Trinitarian churches.
It was their Biblical worldview that declares the sinfulness of man that caused them to carefully divide up power.
During the Constitutional Convention, after about seven weeks of getting nowhere, Ben Franklin (not an orthodox Christian in terms of his doctrine) gave an impassioned call for prayer.
He declared, “I have lived, Sir, a long time and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth — that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings that ’except the Lord build they labor in vain that build it.’ I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the Builders of Babel.”
He called on them to pray together, and a variation of his request was granted and the Constitution was finally produced.
And, of course, the Constitution was predicated on the earlier document, the Declaration of Independence, which acknowledges that God is the source of our rights. Period.
The founders wanted religion to be voluntary, not forced, but they wanted it to flourish because religion leads to virtue and virtue is needed to maintain freedom.
Thomas Jefferson, not an orthodox Christian, said that to force people to believe something contrary to their will is a violation of the principle that “Almighty God hath created the mind free” and it goes against “the plan of the holy author of our religion [i.e., Jesus], who being lord both of body and mind, yet chose not to propagate it by coercions on either, as was in his Almighty power to do, but to extend it by its influence on reason alone.”
So religious belief was not to be coerced. But it was nonetheless necessary to the health of a free republic. In his Farewell Address (1796), George Washington said, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity religion are morality are indispensable supports.” He also observed that unless we imitate Christ, “the Divine Author of our Blessed Religion,” we can never hope to be a happy nation.
In the choice between a godless worldview that cuts us off from the source of our rights and has led to the extermination of millions, and the Christian worldview of the founders that led to freedom and flourishing, I’ll stick with the founders.

I would challenge any computer program that claims to know who I am and what I’m about, and what I need. Consult AI at your own risk. It has many flaws.

They were at best CAFETERIA Christians, picking and choosing, what parts of the Bible they thought were reasonable to believe and to what extent they were reasonable to practice.
A Cafeteria Christian is essentially a HERETIC and a BLASPHEMER — a FREE THINKER — a SECULARIZED Christian. This kind of diluted and secularized Christianity was only possible after the Age of Enlightenment, The age of SECULAR enlightenment, broke the stranglehold orthodox Christianity had on the West.
Franklin and Jefferson would have been burned at the stake for heresy in an actual PRE-AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT Christian theocracy.

If we imitate Christ then the pursuit of happiness in this life, on this earth, is NOT the meaning of life.
Christ, according to the mythology, did not come to earth to tell his followers to pursue happiness, riches, and wealth, and capitalism but to renounce this life, to renounce pride in themselves, to seek salvation through penance and renunciation of this life, in the hope that they might gain eternal life in Heaven when they die.
So if you want to imitate Jesus you’re going to have to become like the self-sacrificing martyr Kayla Mueller not another Joel Osteen with his pompadour hairstyle vanity, mansion, mega-church, limo, and private jet.

It’s a shame Mr. Newcombe doesn’t use the King James Bible. The KJB doesn’t use the inferior words, “imitators,” and “imitate.” An imitation is a fake, a counterfeit. The unfortunately popular ESV and NIV use the inferior words. Notice:
Eph. 5:1 in the ESV: “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.”
Eph. 5:1 in the KJB: “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;”
1 Corinthians 4:16 in the NIV: “Therefore I urge you to imitate me.”
1 Corinthians 4:16 in the KJB: “Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.”
Also, the Christian is to follow Paul as he follows Christ in His exalted position of grace.
1 Corinthians 11:1 “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
1 Tim. 1:16: “…in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.”
The Christian is not to follow Christ is in His earthly ministry. Christ’s earthly ministry was the Law and it had to do with Israel. That program is in abeyance. The Christian, since God revealed a new program to Paul, is not under the Law:
Romans 6:14: “…ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
The Bible consists of differences and distinctions, and the reader must carefully note these to avoid confusion.

Benjamin Franklin: “…God governs in the affairs of men.” God did in “time past,” but He is not doing so today. God governed in the affairs of men in time past, for example when He had Gentiles come against Israel and then eventually carried Israel away into captivity. Leviticus 26 (the Law) said God would do this if Israel continued to walk contrary to Him. Israel had contracted to observe the Law in Exodus 19.
Christian’s, (and non believer’s) do we know and understand where things stood at the end of Acts 7 when Stephen was stoned? Two thousand some years ago, the Gentiles and apostate Israel, excepting the remnant, were ripe for God’s wrath at the end of Acts 7.
America, and everything else, only came to be because God postponed His wrath on this Christ rejecting world and He is, and has been, dispensing grace. He offers the “free gift,” and all men who receive it become members of the church the body of Christ. That’s what God is forming.
For what? The body of Christ is going to be used to govern the heaven’s. When this time of grace concludes, the church is removed to assume its place in the heaven’s and God resumes His program with the remnant, believing Israel. After 7 some years the Lord saves the remnant from satanic opposition. He will then establish His and Israel’s kingdom on earth. And then, once again, God will rule in the affairs of men. He will rule on earth from Jerusalem with a “rod of iron.”
God and His word has had a very positive effect on this world, particularly western civilization, but He has not been governing in the affairs of men. The world is in a time of amnesty and God is dispensing His grace until the world says no more.

Seems someone needs to re-read Genesis. When God extended his choice to Israel, through His Chosen Prophets, he also warned in great detail what would happen if they left the Covenant He offered! They did suffer as foretold. President George Washington immediately after he was sworn in took Congress to a church across from where he was sworn in and pledged THIS COUNTRY to obey the same convenient that Israel swore to. Again God has shown much patience with US. But his patience is just about exhausted with us and we are about to receive his WRATH! Pray for our personal salvation AND our country’s. Also please note that God seldom punishes us directly, but rather uses others to do it! Remember that Lincoln recalled the many time he was driven to his knees during the Civil War. .

America is not God’s nation. Israel was the only nation He had, and He has temporarily put on hold His program with them. He’s doing something else today. He’s dealing with individuals and the body of Christ, not nations. He will deal with nations when He resumes His program with Israel. Since the conversion of Saul of Tarsus, God offers grace and peace to the world as the following scripture shows. God changed the status of the world from being under wrath to being under grace. For the moment, the world has been “reconciled” to God.
2 Corinthians 5:19 “…God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
When the world through consensus says “No” to God, then all He can do is withdraw His offer of grace and peace and begin His day of wrath.

And finally, Kamala’s cheating-women add promotes lies, unfaithfulness and adultery, another grave sin deserving hell if not repented before death:

In sum, Kamala is showing that she’s promoting the kingdom of Satan, violating not only God’s commandments but also natural law (something even some atheists respect).
No ethical or religious person should vote for her, because they become accomplices of the terrible sin of leading others to eternal hell.

Absolutely, the Founders believed in God, the author of creation and moral law. They also stressed freedom of religion, not freedom from religion, the latter ‘from religion’ in the sense that both society and governance must be atheistic (see the former Soviet Union for details).
Thus, to the Founders, believers should be free to believe; atheists should be free not to believe; and agnostics should be free to ponder.
The Founders concern also was creation a state religion that all must adhere to, such as the Anglican faith of King George III, which they believed would run contrary to God-given natural law/natural rights.
Something for all Americans today to ponder: Do we now have a de facto state religion that all must adhere to, a state religion called secular humanism and atheism?
