it’s a word that gets thrown around a lot. But some things truly are vile. At the top of the list is The Nation.
Like the rest of the Left, The Nation is cynically exploiting the Squirrel Hill synagogue shooting to attack Trump.
“THE PITTSBURGH SYNAGOGUE SHOOTING IS THE INEVITABLE RESULT OF TRUMP’S VILE NATIONALISM,” screams one headline.
That accusation is bad enough from the rest of the media. It’s spectacularly vile coming from a magazine that repeatedly defended a Muslim synagogue terror plotter.
Even though Ahmed Ferhani’s plot to bomb or shoot up New York synagogues took place in 2011, and Ferhani pled guilty, admitting that “I intended to create chaos and send a message of intimidation and coercion to the Jewish population of New York City”, the lefty social justice mag continued defending him;
“A Muslim Man Was Ensnared in a Terror Plot by the NYPD—He Just Attempted Suicide,” reads a 2016 Nation screed supporting the synagogue terrorist.
The same man who once boasted,
“We’ll blow all those motherf—ers up at the same time,” he was caught on tape saying, musing about hiding explosives in ten synagogues and connecting them to a single detonation device. “Imagine that, bro. Imagine what that would be like.”
A magazine that spent years defending a Muslim synagogue terrorist is actually trying to blame Trump for an act of synagogue terror.
We hear a lot from the left about vile nationalism, what about vile socialism?
