Obama’s top propagandist Ben Rhodes once boasted how easy it was to manipulate the media.
“They call us to explain to them what’s happening in Moscow and Cairo,” Ben Rhodes once sneered. “Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington. The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. That’s a sea change. They literally know nothing.”
Here’s an apolitical example of top personnel at a national news network not knowing anything. Literally.
Katy Tur is an MSNBC anchor and Ari Melber is the host of an MSNBC show. He’s also MSNBC’s chief legal correspondent.
George Washington being a Virginian is probably a meaningless factoid to the Acela crowd. But it’s key to understanding his identity and to understanding American history.
And it’s also a dead letter to the media millennials who, to quote their dark master, literally know nothing.
They don’t know anything about America. Tur, second generation media royalty, struggles to come up with presidents. Yet these people are set up as a professional media class that knows more than the average person and has the right to dictate his opinions and views.
