#PoliticalApartheid
The media falsely claims that it doesn’t have a partisan lean. Then it not only showcases that lean, but it goes all out with public pressure campaigns to keep conservatives from having any representation in the media. The Flores case is striking because CNN hired her as an editor, which would have given her the ability to shape media narratives. So the rest of the media hit Defcon 1. And segregation won.
Former Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores, who was hired last month as a political editor by CNN, will instead serve as a political analyst for the network, she announced Friday.
The role change for Flores, who previously served under former Attorney General Jeff Sessions in the Trump administration, comes after CNN faced considerable backlash from some members of the media as well as the Democratic National Committee after she was hired to help coordinate the network’s 2020 political coverage.
If any industry discriminated this blatantly against any other group, there would be DOJ action. And there should be.
The pressure campaign against Flores follows a series of campaigns targeting conservatives who work in the media, almost universally on the opinion side. And even that has led to ugly campaigns. So now Flores will be doing political analysis.
And the lefty media can applaud itself for having maintained the embargo.
This comes as CNN denounced FOX’s partisan lean and claims that it isn’t really a legitimate news network.
