Happy New Year and Allahu Akbar!
Muslim terrorist attacks keep happening. And we just keep ignoring them. Most of the attacks these days are broken up in the plot stage. But not all of them. This one follows a very familiar pattern.
It’s actually the third Muslim machete attack on NYPD officers.
The alleged Islamic extremist who attacked multiple NYPD officers with a machete near the New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square has been identified as 19-year-old Trevor Bickford, multiple law enforcement sources said Sunday.
The cops were working the security detail when two of them were struck in the head with a large knife in what police are investigating as a possible targeted attack around 10 p.m., the sources said…
But police sources said the FBI in Boston has an open case on him and he is on something called a guardian list because of his radicalization. Bickford’s aunt notified authorities because he apparently made statements to her indicating a desire to go fight in Afghanistan, police sources said.
The pattern, as I said, appears to be familiar.
Bickford converted to Islam. His family appears to have been supportive of the decision even though he’s got a brother in the military. But Americans are incessantly lectured about how wonderful Islam is. So why wouldn’t they be?
He went down the pipeline of online Islamic preachers, likely introduced to him at his local mosque, and decided that the essence of Islam is Jihad. And he was right. He wanted to live out real Islam by going to fight where the Jihad is. The appeal of ISIS apparently faded enough that he wanted to go to Afghanistan. Red flags went up. The FBI probably came by and interviewed him, accomplishing nothing except to let him know that he was being watched. Feeling the walls closing in, he decided to try and go out with a bang, using the traditional Islamic tool of a blade and some infidels at an infidel celebration.
The plan was probably to take out the cops and then start in on the civilians. In real life, people are harder to machete than in whatever fantasies Trevor, who probably hasn’t gone by that name in a while, was living out.
Don’t worry though, we’ll be told that this has nothing to do with Islam. The religion of peace is wonderful. But it does come with some sharp objects included.

“the essence of Islam is Jihad.”
The essence of Islam is FAITH. Any absurdity can be accepted on faith.
“Faith” designates blind acceptance of a certain ideational content, acceptance induced by feeling in the absence of evidence or proof.” – Leonard Peikoff
Daniel Greenfield says
Actually Islam requires no faith. It actualizes everything. Thus, “Allahu Akbar”. Muslim victories are proof of Allah’s supremacy.
It’s really a very “rational” system of seizing power.
Religions that require faith actually ask people to believe in something more than their own power and ego.
But that’s not very “rational”.

And naturally – all details of the attacker is being removed from the news. Maybe – the machete was a victim of racism too, and needs a cash cow program.
Daniel Greenfield says
How much did you hear about the three Muslims who wanted to hit a Shiite mosque in Chicago?
The news is very good at filtering this stuff, providing just enough coverage to get people to dismiss it.
David Mu says
Being in southern Illinois near St. Louis – next to nothing about the attack in Chicago. About as much as the daily body count – mere numbers, and then – sports coverage. I did hear of the attack, but nothing at all on whether Sunni or Shiite. Knowing that are these two breaks in Islam is, for the majority of the population, pass all awareness. However, no I didn’t hear much detail of it. Guess, it didn’t cause me to look further – as, well – this isn’t all that unusual for Islam.
You are right about the end being to dismiss. It gives the herd a sense of ‘knowing’, but keeping the filters on, and the wanted package going further,

Muslim convert from Maine of all places. That follows up on the shooting of Shiites by an Afghan i in Albuquerque . We imported a religious civil war along with the regular war.
David Mu says
Hopefully, not a Maine Coffin descended kin of mine. But yes – why do the convert always seem to get the idea of warcraft with Islam? And actually – religious war and civil war are always the same in this religion. Even ‘winning’, the war must go on for the Muslim now against another Muslim.
Aren’t we ‘lucky’ to be blessed by the multi-cultural enrichment.

The Islamic concept of peace is the prosperity and tranquility following defeat of the infidel, forfeiture of their wealth and consignment of their woman as concubines, just like the Prophet said.
Muslims truly proclaim all they’ve ever wanted is peace.

Good points, Made me realize while Islamic areas are so poor generally (except for nationalized oil). Once they confiscate all the Dhimmis wealth, the economy is destroyed.
David Mu says
Plus, the sense of entitlement we find so frequently within the actual Islamic individual works so firmly against those tools that allow prosperity. Why bother – we have those slaves to did it for us, and down the road society goes decay and rot.
I would suggest one further condition – Islam (if we accept the standard historical account) had a brief stage of greatness. But – the purity of Islam became the focus that ended any actual increase of knowledge, and allowance of tools needed for an developing economy. They could have – Islam did save more of the knowledge of the ancient world, and they had considerable access to the knowledge from India. Likewise, they were closer to China and that collection of knowledge. But – no, Islam must be made pure and holy and perfect – as ‘we’ demand.
The West had the benefit of a openness (generally) to a wide range of thought, and bit by bit the church learnt to accept new knowledge – instead of a winning a holy war against the other. Islam never did, and here we are with a so-called religion built for war, and structured to remain – the same with an mandate to copy that ‘most-perfect man that ever existed’.

Thanks!
(the notion of a period of Islamic greatness has been refuted by some historians more knowledgeable than myself, so I won’t try to repeat their arguments 🙂
