The media hated Trump’s ad about an illegal alien cop killer and the migrant caravan invasion.
CNN wouldn’t air it. NBC aired it and then refused to do it again. FOX News announced that it’s banned.
“Upon further review, Fox News pulled the ad yesterday and it will not appear on either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network,” said ad sales president Marianne Gambelli in a statement to Mediaite.
None of these are truly surprising. Only the latter might be to those who don’t know what goes on behind the scenes.
But the most serious move is the one by Facebook.
Facebook has stopped the Trump campaign from running its racist anti-immigration commercial as an ad on the site.
“This ad violates Facebook’s advertising policy against sensational content so we are rejecting it. While the video is allowed to be posted on Facebook, it cannot receive paid distribution,” Facebook said in a statement Monday afternoon.
That’s Facebook banning an ad from the President of the United States.
“Sensational” is a subjective metric and it hasn’t affected any of the “Trump is Hitler” or “Republicans are torturing kids” ads on the left.
But if Facebook won’t accept money to run the ad, it’s still not stopping ordinary Americans from sharing it.
Yet.
