What of this darkness that descends upon us,
from fevered dreams of utopians made,
to enslave us in their revolutionary schemes,
amidst such transformative zeal.
We lose all, liberty bleeds and all goodness falls,
forever to the shadows long.
What beast rises from this unholy plot,
to divide and crush, the passions run wild,
the hatred and insatiable lust for power,
the control of all man, to mold, to remake,
to kill the spirit of liberty in our hold.
I hear in these speeches from Chicago,
the tempers all flush, all hope and fury,
equality and equity for all mankind,
to inflame us in racial divide, from such hate,
all to destroy our heritage, sullied and stained,
to cleanse a history made from our forefather’s blood and yes, His will.
Yes, I witnessed the passions from Chicago,
the rise of a new dream, one of hope,
promise and new beginnings,
all things will be made right in this world,
the final redemption is near!
But, of such passions can only come the end,
the crushing of liberty and our dear Republic,
the sweep of this tide ends all, it enslaves us all.
What wicked ways will follow,
the rising tide, swirling of lust and power,
the saviors are here, heaven has arrived on earth, the end!
We are saved, yes, the arc of history truly does bends toward justice?
But beware, for what else bends, what of the many, where does this all end?
What justice, but the flow of blood of the innocents,
enemies made, the hatred for the millions is already spoken of,
those “destroyers of democracy” who but stand in the way of these utopian dreams.
For what else can happen, but the annihilation, the washing of blood,
of those who stand athwart this making of earthly heaven.
Their dying is but a means, all toward this glorious end.
It has arrived, the tide rises,
all good men cower and fail in the face of passionate intensity,
this passion unleashed engulfs everything,
we fall before them, these self-anointed Gods of men and our creation.
We pray Lord and beseech you, save us from ourselves,
send us a sign and strengthen our souls in these last days of tremor, of horror,
for the galloping hoofs of the apocalypse are upon us,
save us from the hell of our passions and deliver us our freedom.
The pro-Hamas demonstrators called for overthrowing both the USA and Israel,
and yet no one called this an insurrection or called them domestic terrorists.
Are they on anybody’s terrorist watch list????????
Oh, my! I’m not generally one for poetry. I clicked on this because I live in this hellpit of Chicago. I did not attend or even follow in detail last week’s gathering of these godless, wicked people. I only saw bits and pieces. You’ve captured it perfectly.
May the Lord Jesus grant us repentance and mercy.
Your poem made me weep with sorrow for our republic.. the values I was raised with and raised my kids – with all but lost. As a Christian, I find hope by keeping my eyes on the Lord, trying my best to do His will and passing on His message of redemption. It’s an increasingly hard sell to today’s people, a corrupt generation led by even more corrupt leaders. I truly don’t think many realize just how profoundly perilous IS our position as humans. If they did, they would believe this is a battle of good vs evil of biblical proportion.
God IS in charge, and His mighty sword avenging us may swing in our lifetimes.

Evil exists, the problem is many who go along with evil aren’t even aware that they are part of evil. They think they are normal. They think their political opponents are the evil ones personified as Trump and MAGA (or “MAGAts.”) How do you wake them up “emotionally” since rational thinking, common sense and facts don’t seen to enlighten them?
Along with Ham-A** Americas worst enemy is the United Nations and its way past time to evict these criminals and moved them to Moscow or Beijing and make them solve their own Domestic Problems themselves we can help out after a Natural Disaster

It’s past time to stop crossing ideological oceans to peacefully coexist with an unholy alliance of consummate evil that wouldn’t step over a mud puddle to get along with you. They are the enemies of America’s constitutional freedoms and liberties, their reckless and destructive utopian social policies will continue to further divide the nation creating violent anarchy, economic destabilization and societal chaos.
