Forget Biden debating Trump. He should debate Pope Francis. Both are elderly men with the habit of saying completely insane things that undermine whatever point they’re trying to make.
The Catholic leader said in a “60 Minutes” interview with Norah O’Donnell that American leaders should instead embrace forgiveness toward migrants entering the country.
“That is madness. Sheer madness,” Francis said. “To close the border and leave them there, that is madness.”
“The migrant has to be received,” he continued, advocating against GOP efforts to close the southern border. “Thereafter, you see how you are going to deal with him. Maybe you have to send him back, I don’t know, but each case ought to be considered humanely.”
“Migration is something that makes a country grow,” he said. “They say that you Irish migrated and brought the whiskey, and that the Italians migrated and brought the mafia. Migrants sometimes suffer a lot. They suffer a lot.”
I’m just as happy he didn’t get around to whatever stereotypical image he had of Jewish and Polish immigrants even while painting the Irish as drunks and Italians as the mob. Two groups that formed the base of the American Catholic community. And the groups he would want to win over with his argument.
Pope Francis doesn’t seem to understand the difference between legal immigration and mass illegal invasion, but to be fair he’s been living in Europe where the difference hasn’t existed for a decade. It’s like trying to explain to a California socialist why shoplifting is wrong. The concept doesn’t even exist anymore. Why on Earth would you use a translation through Latin, which is so far removed from what was given to us by the Apostles in Greek and Hebrew? Latin is a rigid language with different assumptions and less nuance.

Nothing in my church requires me to morally support open borders, or support the destruction of the U.S. national character by importing non-Western peoples who don’t assimilate in large numbers. Nothing. I am commanded to help the poor and vulnerable in every way I can, and to render unto Caesar as well. I am not hectored to disobey the laws of my nation nor to violate the actions it takes to defend and preserve it. If my Catholicism directs me to help poor Hatians or Syrians or Chinese or Guatemalans, I’m free to send money, volunteer here or there to help in many ways. You see Christian missionaries and other charities operating in this way all the time.

Catholic Charities fund the logistics that facilitate the travel of migrants, the lawyers who tell them to dump all forms if ID and tell the US border guards that they are fleeing prosecution even if they are not in order to gain entry into the US with false claims. The Catholic charities fund all this along Jewish charities and Mainline Protestant denominations. Just stop attending these churches, make donations and contributions because it is funding this madness.

I have a suggestion for the United States. If America were to provide transportation for the migrants to fly to the Vatican, would Pope Francis be willing to take in say 1,000 migrants for the Vatican to provide housing, food, and employment. I mean the Vatican itself. The reason I’m mentioning this is because a few years ago when Pope Francis was visiting an island with ten of thousands of migrants overwhelming that Island, he took a few of them aboard his Jet and when he landed in Rome, he turned them over to the Italian government to take care of them. The Pope did not bring them to the Vatican.
So the Pope is someone to not take seriously when it comes to illegal aliens’ problems. Every illegal alien is not being honest as to why they are coming. It is not because of persecution, it is because Americans are suckers to be taken advantage of in every way possible.
They’re economic migrants. As far back as 2004, Democrats were scheming to flood the US with economic migrants. They needed the votes; unions needed the new members. In 2009, BO opened the floodgate to our middle east enemies – the same ones who perpetrated 9-11, only seven years prior, and soon thereafter, he revived the racial strife and wealth envy of the 1960’s.
