Projection.
If you want some insights into the mindset of the “resistance”, this story is a good place to start.
A college professor suspected in a series of arson fires in remote forested areas of Northern California near the massive Dixie Fire has been charged in connection with one of the blazes in Lassen County and was ordered held Tuesday in the Sacramento County Main Jail.
Gary Stephen Maynard, 47, is believed to have worked at a number of colleges in California, including Santa Clara University and Sonoma State University, where a Dr. Gary Maynard is listed as a lecturer in criminal justice studies specializing in criminal justice, cults and deviant behavior.
Neither Santa Clara nor Sonoma State immediately replied to queries about Maynard from The Sacramento Bee. An email sent to the address for Maynard at Sonoma State came back undeliverable.
Sonoma appears to have taken down Maynard’s faculty page. That’s not definitive, but it certainly raises some questions.
To get a sense of how potentially horrifying Maynard’s actions were, he might have gotten firefighters killed.
Maynard even allegedly attempted to trap firefighters between the fires he was setting and the boundaries of the Dixie Fire.
“He entered the evacuation zone and began setting fires behind the first responders fighting the Dixie Fire,” court filings read. “In addition to the danger of enlarging the Dixie fire and threatening more lives and property, this increased the danger to the first responders.”
Here’s an interview at one of the serial anti-Trump sites with a Gary Maynard who teaches Sociology at Santa Clara.
SWAMP: Do you think President Trump suffers from the same malignant Narcissistic Personality Disorder as Jim Jones did?
MAYNARD: Yes, I do and I think he may not really be aware of the violent outburst that he is capable of since he grew up wealthy and bullied people, who basically let him get away with threats of physical or career violence without needing to actually physically attack people. For the American people, this issue of Donald Trump not really being aware of the violent tendencies he has inside him and has been building year after year (just watch his look of hatred and anger when Obama mocked him at the correspondent’s dinner in 2015).
Hatred and anger. Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Maynard appears to have claimed to be an expert on Jim Jones and NPD. There’s a lot of mirroring here.
He has denied the allegations against him. According to court filings, he screamed at police in the Lassen County Jail, “I’m going to kill you, f—king pig! I told those f—kers I didn’t start any of those fires!”
Who besides a 70’s lefty cosplayer calls cops “pigs” in 2021? But according to these descriptions, he seems to have a few issues.
“Murphy introduced himself as an official with the Forest Service and requested the man’s name,” court papers say. “This man did not come out from under the vehicle and did not identify himself, but instead stayed under the vehicle and mumbled words that (investigator) Murphy could not understand.
The man asked Murphy to help tow his vehicle out, but when Murphy said he could not do that the man became “uncooperative and agitated” and crawled back under the Kia, court papers say.
During the encounter, the man said he was a professor and Forest Service investigators subsequently found online profiles for Maynard “at various universities in California,” court papers say.
A second vehicle parked near that spot included a witness who later told authorities that the driver of the Kia seemed angry, at one point displayed a large knife and was “mumbling a lot and having bipolar-like behavior,” an affidavit from U.S. Forest Service Special Agent Tyler Bolen says.
Back to the interview about Trump and how he’s the crazy one.
The NPD sufferer then moves into the world of Borderline Personality Disorder with violent ruminations and ideations and then it is only a match throw away from the person exploding. And if they are the president or were, they can cause a lot of damage…
Donald will NOT stay quiet or stay still or play nice. The question then becomes will he get violent or spur on violence? Because he does not care if he ruins the peace and safety of the US society. And he would not care about driving the economy further into the ground as long as it hurts Biden and not him.
Pity no one asked him if he thinks President Trump is likely to start forest fires.
The surviving Sonoma page mentions that Maynard graduated from Stony Brook University and “has three master’s degrees (political science, theater arts, and sociology) and a Ph.D. in sociology.”
(If that’s not a cry for help, I don’t know what is.)
Student reviews for a Gary Maynard at Stony Brook who taught in the Sociology department provide a fairly familiar profile with one student mentioning, “I love his opinions on American society, Bush and Brad Pitt” and another student mentions that he screened, “An inconvenient truth, fahrenheit 9-11”
Who’s dangerous again?
