H.Res.1068, first reported on by JNS, is an absolute disgrace.
Rather than formulate a normal resolution condemning Hamas rapes on Oct 7, the resolution lists it, then sexual assaults in Sudan, Ukraine, Burma, Haiti and multiple other conflicts. Some of these name specific perpetrators, while others do not.
The resolution also states that, “whereas sexual violence against the LGBTQIA+ community during conflict is a component of gender-based violence, linked to the imposition of moral codes and societal norms that directly target the ability of all sexual and gender identities to live freely, according to LGBTQIA+ human rights organizations.”
Having already demonstrated that it’s impossible to condemn Hamas atrocities without also condemning everything else in the world, including the special status of LGBTQIA+, come two paragraphs contending that…
“Whereas decades of conflict with Israel have resulted in high levels of poverty, instability, and deteriorating living conditions in Gaza that have increased the risk of violence for Palestinian women and girls, according to the United Nations Population Fund, and the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas and worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza is compounding the risks women and children already faced;”
“Whereas 59 percent of Palestinian women and girls have reported experiencing at least one form of gender-based violence, according to the United Nations Population Fund, and news outlets have reported that Palestinian women have been harassed at checkpoints and while in custody, according to testimony submitted to the United Nations;”
This is beyond despicable.
The UNPF statistic refers to internal violence by Muslim men against Muslim women.
A UN official in the Gaza Strip demanded, on Monday, the provision of a legal framework to protect Palestinian women and girls from all forms of violence against them.
“There is a need to break the silence and involve men in this process of change,” she added, explaining that, according to the Palestinian official data about 59 per cent of married women in Palestine are exposed to direct violence by their husbands, with 66.8 per cent of the abused women being between 20-24 years old.
The resolution misleadingly connects this to the claim that “Palestinian women have been harassed at checkpoints”.
This resolution was put forward by Rep. Debbie Dingell, who has ties to Dearborn aka Hezbollahtown, and has taken the expected political positions. Co-sponsors include anti-Israel figures.
So why did Rep. Schiff and Rep. Goldman decide to co-sponsor it?
One answer is that they simply didn’t read it. Congressmembers often don’t read what they sign off on. Another is that they’re trying to pander to the anti-Israel Left and pro-Israel Dems at the same time. When their constituents complain, they’ll tell them that a resolution that this is the best resolution they could get.
And so the resolution captures the current state of the party, condemning both Hamas and Israel.
That’s a dumb issue for Schiff to sign onto.
Especially after Israeli women were raped, murdered, and babies cut out of wombs on October 7th by Hamas.

Attempting to water down the atrocities of October 7th by making unequivocal comparisons to the sexual harassment of Muslim women (and I’d personally want instances sighted because I can’t imagine it) is standard fare for Muslims, as they’ve been doing it for a long time to avoid accepting the full brunt of condemnation for their actions.
I’ve seen cell phone footage of that day. If I were a reporter, I’d want to ask Adam just exactly how many Muslim women were sexually harassed that day, but climbing in bed politically with those that seek America and Israel’s demise is right up his alley. He’s a traitor, coward and political opportunist.

Unfortunately that is not possible. Judaism is a family first of all and it is not possible to disown obnoxious relatives. If it were, George Soros would top the list, and Schiff would certainly be in the top 1% of those to be struck from the family records. We just have to live with his kind, though.
