Yesterday, I joined Julie Hartman on her show Timeless at the Salem Network to discuss my book, Domestic Enemies: The Founding Fathers’ Fight Against The Left, to discuss some of the extremist history of the Democrat Party.
The Democrats did not suddenly become radical under Obama, Clinton or Carter. The rot goes back to the party’s earliest days and its ties to the French Revolution.
The section on Rhode Island in Daniel’s book is brilliant both from the economics point of view and the political point of view. I didn’t know anything about that situation but since then I’ve read about the harbors in that area, how they influenced naval affairs, etc.
The last day or so I’ve read how Napoleon beggared the French economy by his brutal dictatorial rule, a good example of how an economic ignoramus in government can wreck an economy.
Lots of other issues to discuss, of course. Oh, Daniel’s book really opened my eyes to the struggles George Washington went through.
And Yellow Fever. Apparently humans didn’t figure out that Yellow Fever was caused by mosquitos until the early 1900s. That always astonished me, reading the crazy ideas in history that people had about what caused Yellow Fever. And how Yellow Fever influenced history.
Very informative. I’m keeping the video for my documentation. Thank you very much.
