Transgender militants, some of whom are aligned with Antifa, prey on biological women who publicly voice their opposition to the transgender militants’ extremist ideology. They glorify violence against any biological woman fighting for women’s rights who disagrees that men claiming to be women should define what it means to be a woman. Transgender militants regard such a woman as a transphobic oppressor and derisively refer to her as a “TERF,” which stands for a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist.”

In typical Antifa fashion, the transgender militants have taken to the streets to violently shut down their opponents.

Transgender militants wearing masks, for example, recently attacked lesbians who were holding signs during a silent protest against allowing biological men identifying as women to be confined in an all-women’s prison with biological female inmates. There have been too many examples of transgender women imprisoned in the women’s sections of jails raping female prisoners who were born as women, such as happened last year at Rikers Island in New York.

No wonder the protesters wanted to display their concern that more such sexual assaults could take place if biological men identifying as transgender women continue to be put behind bars with biological women. And all the protesters were doing was to silently hold up their signs. Until, that is, the cowardly misogynists claiming to be women ripped away the peaceful protesters’ signs, ran into them with their bicycles, and threw eggs at them.

Perhaps the transgender militants ordered their own special trans-Antifa masks online to wear on the occasion of their violent attacks.

Last October, a British women’s rights campaigner, Kellie-Jay Keen, who leads a tour known as ‘Let Women Speak,’ was forced to cancel a tour stop in Portland, Oregon, following threats from transgender militants, including Antifa. Ms. Keen said that she had been warned by “locals in both Seattle and Portland that Antifa has killed people and kind of gotten away with it. I’ve also gotten communication from the police that basically says ‘You’re not permitted to have an event.'”

Last September, transgender militants threw smoke bombs and hurled insults at women attending a “Let Women Speak” event that was held in the British town of Brighton.

Also, last September, transgender militants assaulted and robbed Fred Sargeant, the 74-year-old gay rights pioneer who founded New York City’s first gay pride march. The attack took place while he was attending a Burlington Vermont gay pride parade to protest leftist misogyny and homophobia.

Years before many of today’s transgender militants were born, Mr. Sargeant participated in the historic 1969 Stonewall uprising. He risked his life to be part of a cause that launched the gay rights movement, which has since expanded to include the transgender community. Little did Mr. Sargeant realize that members of the transgender community who have benefited from the movement he pioneered would violently attack him in 2022 for peacefully protesting in defense of the rights of lesbian biological women.

These two acts of violence last September prompted J.K. Rowling, the Harry Potter author who has been a frequent target of transgender militants’ threats herself, to tweet: “After a weekend of intimidation and abuse of female protesters in the UK resulting in three arrests, a gay rights icon is beaten to the ground by a mob of gender ideologues in the US. Violence is not a bug, but a feature of this authoritarian movement.”

Transgender militants believe that “TERFS” are fair game for harassment, assault, and threats on their lives.

In addition, the fighters for recognizing common-sense distinctions between men and women based on biological science have been cancelled on social media and have lost their jobs for simply expressing their beliefs.

Freedom of speech means nothing to extremist transgender ideologues. To them, anybody who questions the claim that biological males who self-identify as females are entitled to compete in girls’ and women’s sports competitions, despite their huge biological advantages, is spouting hate speech. And hate speech must be silenced. Likewise, the transgender ideologues demand that transgender women and girls have unlimited use of women’s rest rooms and locker rooms. Anybody who questions this demand is a bigot who also must be shut down.

The transgender militants who take this stance are the bigots. They are the ones who spout their own form of hate speech and advocate violence against biological women – gay or straight – who dare to challenge the leftist transgender ideology du jour.

These bullies insist that more than 99 percent of the U.S. population get used to speaking and writing in the transgenders’ made-up gender identity language. Do not use “he” or “she” as pronouns to refer to one person, male or female, they demand. You should use the traditional plural pronoun “they” instead as a gender-neutral singular pronoun. No more mention of “mother” or “pregnant woman.” The replacement in the transgenders’ Orwellian Newspeak is “birthing person.”

All of these demands have little to do with securing human rights for transgenders. They are about transgender militants seeking to dictate how the vast majority of Americans must speak and interact with each other in all spheres of life. The same phenomenon is taking place in other Western countries too, such as the United Kingdom.

The transgender militants are succeeding in the United States with the help of the Biden administration, sympathetic courts, and woke corporations that do not want to be branded as transphobic bigots.

It is perfectly fine for one to be concerned about protecting transgender people from violence, hateful treatment, and invidious discrimination. But one can do so without having to condone the violence and hate that transgender militants inflict on others who express legitimate concerns about protecting their own right of privacy, freedom of conscience, and personal security.

Americans should not have to give up their freedom of speech and be required to conform unquestioningly with gender identity ideology to avoid being punished or ostracized. But we are at risk of letting that happen. And to cement their gender identity ideology in the minds of future generations, transgender militants are trying to control what children are being taught in school.

Transgender militants are pressing schools around the country to incorporate instruction on gender identity in their curricula for children as young as kindergartners. They want to exclude parents from having any say regarding what their children are taught in school about gender identity.

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron De Santis has been sharply criticized by liberal politicians and the mainstream media, as well as by Disney, for upholding parents’ rights in the education of their children and protecting young children from indoctrination. He has not bowed to the pressure that has been applied against him but too many others have succumbed. In fact, transgender militants are successfully moving schools to honor a child’s asserted gender identity without having to notify the parents, much less get their consent.

Moreover, minors who think their gender identities do not match their genders assigned at birth are being encouraged by so-called “professionals” to seek, without parental consent, “gender affirming” medical procedures. This could mean taking puberty-blocking hormones and possibly undergoing surgery to change their bodies to match their preferred gender identities.

Transgender militants are tearing families apart by accusing parents of child abuse if they refuse to “affirm” a child’s newly declared gender identity. An assistant professor and bioethicist at Arizona State University even wrote in an article published by the Journal of Medical Ethics that “parents should lose veto power over most transition-related [pediatric] care.”

Some courts are taking away custody of a child from a parent who seeks to challenge the child’s transgender diagnosis or interfere with the child’s gender “transition.” In one case, a father lost a custody battle with his ex-wife who wanted to transition her young son into a girl even though the father objected. Adding insult to injury, when the father, Jeffrey Younger, attempted to speak about his grueling experience in the custody battle earlier this year at the University of North Texas, left-wing rioters would not let him proceed.

As reported by National Review, “far-left activists, some of whom are believed to be affiliated with the North Texas offshoot of Antifa, hijacked the presentation, shouting Younger down and eventually forcing him [to] evacuate before punching him as he left the building.” Mr. Younger claimed that a female activist spat on him “because he refused to use preferred gender pronouns.”

Mob rule, forced ideological conformity, and indoctrination in schools are hallmarks of tyranny, not of a constitutional republic where the people’s inherent rights and liberties are supposed to be protected.

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction,” Ronald Reagan once wisely warned. Transgender militants are among the far-left fascists who are trying to extinguish our freedom. We cannot let them win.
