Darrell Brooks was absolutely the kind of guy who should have been out for $500 bail after exciting diversions like running over his ex and… phoning in a bomb threat.
The man accused of murdering five after mowing them down in his car during a Wisconsin holiday parade was previously convicted for threatening to bomb a casino, DailyMail.com can reveal.
Darrell Brooks, 39, was busted in March 2007 for calling in a bomb threat to the $43-per-night Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nevada.
The would-be rapper was put on probation after being convicted of conspiring to disturb the peace – a gross misdemeanor – and was banned from the Nugget for life.
If only we had some sort of national law enforcement agency whose job it was to track criminals operating across state lines, collect data about them, and arrest them.
His rap sheet also includes a conviction for statutory sexual seduction – the term for sex with a minor aged 16 or under in Nevada law – in January 2007 and another of failing to inform the police of a change of address while a registered sex offender.
If only we had some sort of penal system whose job it is to lock away monsters and make sure that they never see the light of day.
How many strikes do you have to have before you’re out? How many people do you have to kill?
