The media exists these days for two reasons
1. To push leftist propaganda at Americans
2. To pander to the cultural prejudices of leftists
The two intersect in obvious ways and one of the most repulsive of these is Pandemic Schadenfreude which consists of treating someone’s positive test result, diagnosis or even death as proof that they were bad people or have no credibility when speaking about the virus.
But sometimes the media’s pandemic schadenfreude is so stupid that it proves the opposite of what it thinks it does.
Southwest CEO said masks don’t do much on planes at maskless Senate hearing. He tested positive for COVID the next day – USA Today
And this proves what, besides the general petty loathsomeness of USA Today?
If as USA Today and CNN claim, that the issue is that he wasn’t wearing a mask at a Senate hearing, shouldn’t there then be an outbreak of positive results at the Senate hearing?
Now mind you this has nothing to do with the CEO’s contention that masks don’t add much value on planes. He didn’t make that claim about masks in general, just about the air circulation and filtering systems in planes. Whether or not people wore masks at the Senate hearing has nothing to do with anything. And nominees and people who testify generally do not wear masks.
Biden nominees haven’t worn masks at Senate hearings. Does that mean that they’re bad people or that the media is?
