The official endorsements from Gwyneth Paltrow for California and Los Angeles elections came out (I know you were all waiting for those) and there’s a curious split between the LA endorsements and the California state ones.
The California endorsements are mostly the generic Democrat line ones while the Los Angeles ones look like something you would find on a moderate and even Republican-leaning flyer.
The actress touts Rick Caruso as “a progressive person who is pro-business, and will make LA safer.” The rest of her endorsements for the city are moderate Democrats to secret Republicans.
This isn’t just one of those “I have a business relationship with Caruso” endorsements. It’s a larger trend.
Some lefties are fuming, but she’s not alone.
Peter Sadovnik at Common Sense had a conversation with Hollywood figures about the state of the city, particularly Nicole Avant, whose mother’s murder touched off a Beverly Hills uprising against George Gascon and an accompanying split within the Netflix C-Suite, but he gets a number of other quotes.
“We supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, because she was the most qualified, and we thought it would be important to have a woman president,” Jeremy Barber, a top agent at UTA, told me. “That is where my heart is. But look, here’s the reality: This city feels, in a very meaningful way, like an amazing place to raise a family, and it feels broken.”
It’s not as out there as Snoop Dogg’s endorsement of Caruso (yes, that happened), but there are quite a few people who feel it.
These are just anecdotes, but they match the growing picture of people who feel that the system is broken and that the same old Democrats showing off their endorsements from Planned Parenthood and the local community organizers are not the people to fix it. It’s bad when you lose the public, but it’s an indicator of just how bad you’re doing when you lose the people who should be automatically voting for you, like Paltrow.
An ex-Republican running against a black female ex-congresswoman in Los Angeles in 2022 shouldn’t have been able to get anyone’s endorsement except Kid Rock. Instead, Caruso has a bunch of celebrity endorsements, including from Kim Kardashian and George Lopez.
Los Angeles, like a lot of major cities, like much of the country, is broken. And a whole lot of people who would normally vote straight leftist are walking away.

Well, that’s quite something.
I think her mom was Blythe Danner, who was a good actress back in olden days, when it was possible to portray a fictional Los Angeles in a way that made it seem like a nice place to live.

Sounds like the centre left GOP is just right for Paltrow fleeing the reality of radical Democrat policies that sound good in principle.
“She tasted the large bowl and said, “This porridge is too salty!” She tasted the medium bowl and said, “This porridge is too sweet!” She tasted the small bowl and said, “This is porridge is just right.”

Honestly who cares about LA and these so called celebrities. I urge them all to leave the country and settle in Canada, their new utopian society.

They haven’t had it bad enough, I hope Newscum wins and makes it worse for them because as you wrote they are still voting for him. GP is obsessed with her fanny, she’s not Jewish and is a total waste of space.
