Tell me some more about unprecedented violations of democratic norms. 

New York is under siege. Crime rates are spinning out of control. Meanwhile AG Letitia James has spent her time targeting the NRA because she opposes its support for the second amendment. And because she knows it’s the springboard for political office.

Before taking office, James falsely claimed that, “The NRA holds [itself] out as a charitable organization, but in fact, [it] really [is] a terrorist organization.” 

Whatever may or may not be wrong at the NRA, AG Letitia James has made no secret of targeting it because she opposes its politics. Despite widespread abuses at the Southern Poverty Law Center and other lefty groups, there’s never been a concerted effort to shut them down. 

An Attorney General grotesquely abusing the powers of her office to go after her political opponents is dangerous and corrupt.

It’s also the new normal.

From Obamagate to Soros prosecutors targeting BLM opponents for prosecution, the Left is increasingly using its newfound prosecutorial and law enforcement powers to criminalize political dissent. 

That’s a frightening trend and one that we ought to be talking about. As Soros’ so-called “progressive” prosecutors gain more power and as ActBlue is used to funnel money to local AGs who use their offices to run for higher office, we’re seeing the rise of a progressive police state whose officials make a point of abusing the judicial system to go after political opponents.

We are entering a new and darker front in the struggle to save America from totalitaranism.
