In the past, I have pointed out that Democrats objected to every single Republican presidential victory in this century. The Washington Times however notes that this time around,.”It was the first time congressional Democrats did not raise a challenge to a Republican winner of the presidential election since certifying George H.W. Bush’s victory in 1989.”
The obvious question is why not?
Beyond objecting to George W. Bush’s first win over hanging chads, Democrats raised objections to Bush’s second win over their claims of “voter suppression”. And everyone remembers the madness in 2016 when Democrats tried everything from recruiting faithless electors to claiming Trump conspired with Russia to win.
Here’s a little flashback to that circus.
Rep. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts rose to object to the certificate from Alabama.
“The electors were not lawfully certified, especially given the confirmed and illegal activities engaged by the government of Russia,” McGovern said.
Rep. Barbara Lee of California brought up voting machines and Russian hacking when she objected following the counting of Michigan’s votes.
“People are horrified by the overwhelming evidence of Russian interference in our election,” Lee said.
After New York’s tally was read, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas stood up to object.
“I object on the massive voter suppression that included –” Jackson Lee began.
Hillary Clinton won New York, but Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee was the dumbest person in Congress.
Now suddenly Democrats are on their best behavior and bragging about it.
“We accept the results, even though we don’t like them, because our loyalties lie with the Constitution and with the rule of law,” Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, said in floor remarks ahead of the certification. “We hope what happens today, rather than what happened four years ago, stands as a shining example for future generations of how one conducts themselves in a free democracy.”
“We have to show our colleagues that you cannot turn on and turn off your fidelity to the Constitution according to whether or not it serves your party interest,” Rep. Jamie Raskin said of Republicans.
Really? Let’s go back to 2016.
Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland rose to object to 10 of Florida’s 29 electoral votes.
“They violated Florida’s prohibition against dual office holders,” Raskin said.
Why did Raskin, who wouldn’t even commit to the process a few weeks ago, and who objected in 2016, go along with things now?
The short answer is that the whole thing was tactical. Democrats decided a while back that the 2016 tantrums are not advisable and no longer work. And are probably pointless anyway since Trump secured his second term. Now they’re bragging about how much they respect the constitutional process, not because they actually do, but because it serves to cover a change of strategies.

I believe something significant is about to happen, such as another assassination attempt, a potential nuclear disaster in Ukraine, or an economic crash. The DNC did not put up a fight for a reason, and we will soon find out what that reason is.

It could be that, or it could simply be that the Democrats know they only lost out on stealing the Presidency again because Trump was so strong a candidate. How many fraudulent ballots were were counted this time we simply don’t know, but against Trump it wasn’t quite enough. Notice that it would have been if they had been able to steal as many votes as they did in 2020 and as they no doubt hope to do in the future – millions of illegal aliens could be “citizens” by then and all getting mail-in ballots.
They haven’t given up on ballot fraud in the future – indeed, they almost stole their way to control of the House this time around – and so it seems likely to me they intend to steal their way to victory in 2028 and then say, “Look, we didn’t protest when we lost four years ago, so now you guys need to shut up about ballot fraud.”
Everything is “transactional.”
Those D-Bags know they lost BADLY. They’re just playing games to Bide time. Those losers think they may win next time. Fat chance. America is sick of them.

This is troubling. It suggests that Democrats are in fact capable of learning from their mistakes, and not just doubling down on their cluelessness.

My suspicion is that the Trump team showed the Demons that they have undisputable proof that the Demons set up Jan 6. I am told, this includes zoom calls involving many Dems, where they planned the whole thing. The white hats were more than prepared for a legal challenge. The Dems were intimidated into silence.

My fear is that they’re waiting for Trump’s sentencing. Once that occurs, Trump will then be a convicted felon–and therefore cannot hold office and cannot be sworn in. Bet my last nickel! Does anyone really think the Dems will allow Trump to be sworn in without any protest?
While I agree that their will be a renewed suite of felon articles and congressional protests, I don’t see this as having legs. The constitution specifies high crimes and insurrection. Do the Dems really want SCOTUS to determine if Trump has been convicted of insurrection?

Be careful what you portray. I see it as, “Don’t look a Gift-Horse in the mouth”. It may be that the DemonRats are being a little more circumspect about their trying to fuque over Trump in his first four years and are afraid he and his team may try to indict the Rats who had a hand if defaming Trump back then. .
The appearance of Democrat capitulation and acceptance is suspicious to me, considering their malicious, duplicitous history, especially if they follow through with a refusal to attend the inauguration, i.e., the Capitol may be a very dangerous place to be on Jan. 20, with all of the Republicans gathered in one place, and no Democrats at all, except Joe and Jill. Furthermore, recent mysterious drone activity in the region doesn’t exactly fill me with a feeling of peace and security.
Maybe it’s tactical. I’ve been waiting for a tantrum of some kind ever since the election, but all remains quiet on the western front.

Maybe the Dems greater fear is that any protest could spark an investigation that would expose the machines, the mules, the dead voters, etc., that they used to attempt the steal. Even though it turned out to, indeed, be too big to rig, the Dems would prefer to keep the rigging mechanisms hidden. Otherwise, they likely would lose more seats if their rigging were uncovered.
Lets just see if Trump survives the inauguration.

The swearing-in of a president can be held anywhere. Lyndon Johnson was sworn in on Air Force One when JFK was killed by the CIA. Why can’t Trump decide this week to hold the swearing-in ceremony in Florida…or Pennsylvania…or Texas?????? This alone would blunt and destroy what ever foul plan the Democrats (Communists) have in their filthy little minds for January 20th.
