While Americans have been immersed in assorted political nonsense, real revelations came out about China’s involvement in Canada’s elections that are bad enough that even the media was forced to cover them.
The full extent of the Chinese interference operation is laid bare in both secret and top-secret Canadian Security Intelligence Service documents…
The CSIS report quoted the Chinese consulate official as saying. The official added: “The Liberal Party of Canada is becoming the only party that the PRC can support.”
CSIS also explained how Chinese diplomats conduct foreign interference operations in support of political candidates and elected officials. Tactics include undeclared cash donations to political campaigns or having business owners hire international Chinese students and “assign them to volunteer in electoral campaigns on a full-time basis.”
Sympathetic donors are also encouraged to provide campaign contributions to candidates favoured by China – donations for which they receive a tax credit from the federal government.
And it goes all the way up to Trudeau.
Canadian Security Intelligence Service captured a conversation in 2014 between an unnamed commercial attaché at one of China’s consulates in Canada and billionaire Zhang Bin, a political adviser to the government in Beijing and a senior official in China’s network of state promoters around the world.
They discussed the federal election that was expected to take place in 2015, and the possibility that the Liberals would defeat Stephen Harper’s Conservatives and form the next government. The source said the diplomat instructed Mr. Zhang to donate $1-million to the Trudeau Foundation, and told him the Chinese government would reimburse him for the entire amount…
Mr. Trudeau’s Liberals swept to power in October, 2015, with a majority government. Seven months later, Mr. Zhang attended a Liberal Party fundraiser at the Toronto home of Chinese Business Chamber of Canada chair Benson Wong, where Mr. Trudeau was the guest of honour.
The politically connected Chinese donors who pledged $1-million to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation and the University of Montreal did not only want to build a statue of the former prime minister.
They also sought to erect a statue at the university’s law school of chairman Mao Zedong, the Chinese leader who brought his country under Communist control and, in his decades as the Great Helmsman, oversaw policies that led to huge numbers of deaths from famine and violence.
“They suggested one of Trudeau and Mao together,” Geneviève O’Meara, a spokesperson said.
After initially denying everything, Trudeau proposed some sort of investigation.
Did China mess with Canada? Trudeau says he has a plan to find out. – Politico
Did China secretly back me? I’ve got a plan to find out. And also help O.J. catch the real killers.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has buckled to political pressures and is calling an investigation into allegations that Beijing interfered with Canadian elections.
“I will be appointing an independent special rapporteur, who will have a wide mandate and make expert recommendations on combating interference and strengthening our democracy,” the prime minister said Monday evening in Ottawa.
Is Morris still available?
Mr. Trudeau told reporters Monday that Morris Rosenberg, a former head of the Trudeau Foundation, had been selected in summer 2022 to write an independent report that will assess the effectiveness of a government panel that monitored the 2021 election for foreign threats. The Privy Council said in a statement that the report is complete and will soon be released.
Mr. Rosenberg, a former deputy minister of foreign affairs, was chief executive of the Trudeau Foundation between 2014 and 2018. He was “involved in facilitating a controversial $200,000 donation from influential CCP official Bin Zhang, who was also intimately involved in Trudeau’s 2016 billionaire cash-for-access scandal,” the Conservatives said in a Monday news release. That scandal revolved around private fundraisers the government held with wealthy donors, who were given opportunities to meet with Mr. Trudeau and other senior ministers.
How can an investigation with an “eminent, unimpeachable expert” go wrong?
Trudeau stopped short of the public inquiry that opposition parties have demanded. Instead, he pitched a convoluted plan led by an “eminent, unimpeachable expert,” minus any deadlines.
Trudeau said the rapporteur will enlist NSICOP and others who can investigate and make recommendations that “could include a formal inquiry or some other independent review process.” He said options for next steps include a commission, an examination, a panel of judges or a judicial review.
And then maybe a blue ribbon commission.
“Foreign interference is a complex landscape that should not be boiled down to sound bites and binary choices,” he said. “It should certainly not be about partisan politics.”
It seems to be about partisan politics for China.
Leaks from inside Canada’s spy agency reported by the Globe and Mail and Global News allege the Chinese government oversaw covert campaigns that backed 11 federal candidates, a majority of them Liberal.
The country’s national police agency, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, confirmed last week that they were not actively investigating the allegations. On Monday, the agency confirmed it has launched a probe to find the whistleblowers.
A cover-up is always the priority. But let’s listen to the voters.
Recent polling by the Angus Reid Institute suggests a majority of Trudeau’s own Liberal supporters believe Beijing likely attempted to meddle in Canada’s recent elections. The same poll found that 42 percent of Conservative voters feel the 2021 election was “stolen.”
Which it was.

Harper seemed to be an excellent leader.

He’s an expert on everything he’s never given much thought but seriously since duality and duplicity are very useful in politics this might even be strangely telling. Postmodern philosophers like Foucault certainly rely on developments in unreality which Bohr and Heisenberg pioneered i.e. there is no objective reality

Looking at the latest Hancock communications I don’t who is worse off, us or Canada. The fact that a once great nation now has people like “I’m a celbrity” Hancock presiding over their lives should worry people but apparently people are not worried much at all. Therefore one can only conclude that Hancock is about what we deserve.
Canada has Trudeau, we have Rishi Sunak and the US has Biden.

Of course all of this academic once you have the corner stone of the socialist state which is socialised health care in place. Then it’s just musical election chairs until the cows come home.

Same thing happened here, but instead of Chinese it was Zuckerberg, Soros and the Silicon Valley billionaires paying for the election.

Gee, Chinese gifts to universities, universities establishing foundations named for prominent leftist politicians. Where have we seen this elsewhere?

And what about the Konnech company case with Mr Yu (i think that is his name) going on in LA and midwest. It seems many USA counties and and states vote use a company for their elections that stored vote workers and other vote data in…..CCP China on servers.

Trudas, the sleazy traitor, selected one of his own players to investigate the use of the Emergency Act and of course the outcome was in his favour. Now he will select another one of his players to investigate whether the CCP helped him and the lieberals reach their goals. LOL More than likely the CCP will select who they want to investigate themselves and Trudas will comply. Trudas has publicly declared his love for the CCP many times so …. . As for the RCMP, that train left the station along time ago and burned up the tracks as it left. Trudas has the guaranteed partnership of Jughead Singh , leader of the NDP’s who could end this nightmare but Jughead has formed a partnership with Trudas and needs Trudas to stay in power until at least 2025 when Jughead have his 6 years in and will be eligible for that golden govt pension for life. . If the two of them are booted earlier Jughead will not get that pension. .

There are Chinese police stations all over. They kidnap and beat people that speak against China. Only Chinese so far but normal Canadians if we help them. I’d really love if there were some Americans down for some viking fun.
