In a sad act of kleptophobia that shows how far we still have to go as a society, the Biden administration fired Sam Brinton, the drag queen and kink activist whom it had elevated to the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition.
“Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee. By law, the Department of Energy cannot comment further on personnel matters,” a spokesperson for the department told the Daily Beast.
If true, this shows a high degree of ignorance and prejudice.
By taking other people’s suitcases, Brinton was disrupting capitalism and the oppressive patriarchal concept of private property. He was also looking for new winter outfits in a society that still ignorantly frowns on a man with a mustache walking into a boutique and trying on new dresses and then leaving lipstick stains all over them.
It’s also been suggested that Sam, who uses the pronoun they/mine identified as the owner of the suitcases. And if you can change biological gender through identification, how can it not be possible to transfer ownership of mere property, which everyone agrees is a construct, through identification?
Klepto-Americans are discriminated against by ignorant cis-hetero white capitalists who cling bitterly to their suitcases. Sadly it may take months of activism until Americans come to understand that Klepto-Americans have no choice but to steal, they were born his way and are responding to generations of trauma.
The Biden administration, whose upper echelons are filled with Klepto-Americans who disrupted private property so hard that families can’t afford to buy groceries, should, of all people, be understanding of Sam’s plight.
I am understanding that this wee fella is a sad ass case of dysfunction and he can blame his parents because I dont expect him to take personal responsibility for his actions and personal problems because that would be just oh so Right Wing Politics to do so.
Perhaps he just needs a new doggie toy with Leash and a safe space so he can now have a good old cry.

It’s funny that you’d say that because blaming his parents for having him tortured by a conversion therapist was his first claim to fame. He can’t remember the name of the therapist he claims did this, or where it was done, even though he says he knew him for 2 or 3 years, depending on the interview. Great column. Since post-modernist subjectivism seems to rule the day, Brinton identifying as the owner of the luggage might just get him/they/it an acquittal. Nothing would surprise me anymore.

His problem is that he’s a petty thief and without the proper baksheesh he has no protection. Working for the big score would have involved enough others that they would have protected each other. It’s not that D.C. hates a thief, it’s that it hates a selfish thief.
