		“It’s an absolute insult,” said Thomas Gokey, co-founder of the&nbsp;Debt Collective, a national union of debtors.</p>

	How dare he give us only $10,000 in taxpayer money stolen from the people who actually earned it? We demand $50,000, $100,000, or $1,000,000.</p>

	Gokey bills himself as a visual artist, he's had some adjunct professor gigs, but now mostly just seems to be a professional activist. He has an MFA in Sculpture from the Art Institute of Chicago.</p>

	Working-class people struggling to pay for bread, meat or a tank of gas are supposed to dig deeper to subsidize <a href="https://www.gq.com/story/debt-collective-union-organizing">this garbage</a>.</p>

		Standing outside the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, his student debt looming in the back of his mind, 28-year-old artist Thomas Gokey knew what he had to do. The plan was simple. He owed $49,983. Buried beneath the bank in an underground vault sat tens of millions of dollars in shredded money. He aimed to take the minced bills and turn them into a colossal art piece that would sell for exactly $49,983. “I just need one rich person to buy the whole thing,” he thought to himself.</p>

		With the aid of the federal government, an industrial paper pulper, and a deckle machine, he executed his ploy. His shreds became pulp. His pulp became paper. His paper became his masterpiece: “Total Amount of Money Rendered in Exchange for a Masters of Fine Arts Degree to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Pulped into Four Sheets of Paper.”</p>

		It was a clever venture using destroyed money to both critique the astronomical absurdity of student debt while also escaping from it. Yet, like most millennial plots for financial freedom, it failed. (Eight years later, Thomas still&nbsp;sells&nbsp;one-inch chunks for $4.22.)&nbsp;</p>

And if it were, the media and its leftist allies would respond with the same hysteria that they did to the efforts to stop the Black Lives Matter attacks on Washington D.C.</p>

		"One of our goals would be to expand the current political crisis by shutting down the Supreme Court," one of the organizers said. The group planned the blockade for Monday, June 13, a day when the Court will likely hand down opinions.</p>

		#ShutdownDC is concocting its ploy amid continued concerns over the Supreme Court's security and that of the justices following the unprecedented leak. The Department of Homeland Security's intelligence arm circulated a memo in May warning of a sharp rise in threats to the High Court. Law enforcement is investigating violent threats from pro-abortion extremists against members of the Court as well as the Court building itself, the memo said.</p>

	<p>
		The Tuesday night briefing included more than 60 activists and was led by four or five organizers, some of whom concealed their identities. The presentation included a detailed "tactical" plan for blocking access to the Court's underground parking garage, which is the primary entry and exit point for employees and justices.</p>

	#ShutdownDC is part of the whole shadowy nexus of anti-Trump and radical environmental groups that has operated alongside AOC's&nbsp;DSA, unions and assorted lefty groups and establishment&nbsp;organizations.&nbsp;ShutdownDC was linked to the Jane Fonda environmental protests. It's one of those groups that's involved in pretty much any significant lefty D.C. protests. So this goes right back to the entire radical activist complex. Will they be held accountable? Not under Biden, obviously.</p>

	But this is an attempt to interfere with the functioning of not only a court, but the nation's highest court, and the culmination of the work of the entire judicial branch, to intimidate and prevent them from issuing a ruling.</p>

	If that's not an insurrection, what is?</p>

	Now basic questions are being asked. And <a href="https://www.inquirer.com/politics/election/john-fetterman-stroke-health-pacemaker-defibrillator-afib-20220526.html?scrolla=5eb6d68b7fedc32c19ef33b4">not being answered</a>.</p>

John Fetterman celebrated his win in Pennsylvania’s Democratic Senate primary from a Lancaster hospital, where he was recovering from a stroke and the implantation of a combination defibrillator-pacemaker. But the campaign’s explanation of his medical treatment doesn’t entirely make sense, according to cardiologists.</p>

	<p>
		Fetterman’s campaign has said he’s on his way to a full recovery. Yet as that recovery continues at his home in Braddock, Fetterman hasn’t publicly answered questions himself about his health. And his campaign has refused multiple requests to interview his doctors, without giving any reason for that refusal.</p>

	What does&nbsp;Fetterman have to hide?</p>

		The uncertainty stems from how Fetterman’s campaign and his wife Gisele have characterized his heart condition: a common, irregular rhythm called atrial fibrillation (A-fib). They said the A-fib led to his May 13 stroke, and that is indeed a common cause of stroke. But when he got the defibrillator four days later, they said the device was implanted to treat the A-fib.</p>

	<p>
		But that’s not what defibrillators are for, leading cardiologists not involved in his care to suggest that Fetterman, 52, has another heart condition the campaign hasn’t disclosed.</p>

<p>
	That's coming from the Philly Inquirer, hardly a conservative media outlet. And even respected cardiologists are going on the record to say that Team Fetterman are lying.</p>

		An implantable defibrillator, a device roughly the size of a tape measure, is placed in the chest of someone deemed to be at risk of sudden cardiac arrest.</p>

	Are Fetterman's people trying to minimize his medical condition? It sounds like they are.&nbsp;</p>

		While stressing that they have no direct knowledge of Fetterman’s medical situation, Cooper and Pearson said a defibrillator would never be implanted unless a patient had another condition besides A-fib.</p>

	<p>
		That could mean some underlying heart condition was resulting in both A-fib and an increased risk of sudden cardiac arrest. Or it could mean the A-fib had been going on for a long time, leading to a weakened heart muscle that would necessitate the use of a defibrillator.</p>

<p>
	Instead of admitting that, the Fetterman campaign keeps doubling down.</p>

		Gisele Fetterman said she had seen news reports with cardiologists questioning if her husband had a second heart condition, but that she knew of none other than A-fib.</p>

		“I saw... speculations around his health by the doctors who didn’t treat him,” she said. “But the doctors who treated him, who are doctors, did not say that, no.”</p>

	There's the issue and there's the cover-up.</p>

	The Democrats have a sizable demographic of upper-class people with MAs and PhDs&nbsp;who account for both a disproportionate amount of student loan debt and primary activism. Call it the Elizabeth Warren demographic. Those people want a very big government handout that they're calling "student loan forgiveness".</p>

<p>
	Even Biden's people realize that just having the government cover $1.75 trillion to its voter base might be a bit much, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2022/05/27/biden-student-debt-borrower/">so they're starting</a> with $230 billion.</p>

		White House officials are currently planning to cancel $10,000 in student debt per borrower, after months of internal deliberations over how to structure loan forgiveness for tens of millions of Americans, three people with knowledge of the matter said.</p>

	<p>
		President Biden had hoped to make the announcement as soon as this weekend at the University of Delaware commencement, the people said, but that timing has changed after the massacre Tuesday in Texas.</p>

		The White House’s latest plans called for limiting debt forgiveness to Americans who earned less than $150,000 in the previous year, or less than $300,000 for married couples filing jointly, two of the people said. It was unclear whether the administration will simultaneously require interest and payments to resume at the end of August, when the current pause is scheduled to lapse.</p>

	Quite a high-class problem.&nbsp;</p>

<p>
	A $10,000 check to the upper class while using a means test of $300,000 in a time when people are struggling to gas up their cars and buy food is really something.</p>

<p>
	Pouring in $230 billion into an economy that already suffers from out-of-control inflation means throwing oil on the fire. But Biden has clearly decided that the majority of Americans hate him, so all he can do is service his base. That means racial dog whistles for the lower part of it and subsidies for the upper portion of it.</p>

		Wiping out $10,000 of debt per borrower could cost roughly $230 billion, according to estimates by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan think tank. However, restarting payments for borrowers, which have been on hold since March 2020, would bring additional money into federal coffers. 	This isn't "forgiveness", it's stealing from social security, which is heading toward running out of money, to subsidize Elizabeth Warren's base. It's a giant middle finger to most of the country. Especially the working class.&nbsp;</p>

		The Social Security Trust Fund, sold to a generation that survived the Depression and witnessed the early stages of the disintegration of the family as a hedge against growing old in poverty, became just another flow of tax revenues that can’t and won’t be paid back once the unfunded bill fully comes due.</p>

	<p>
		The doomsday clock for the Trust Fund moved up one year. The news that Old-Age and Survivors Insurance will now run out in 12 years was largely ignored in 2021. It'll go on being ignored until the mandatory 20% cuts start kicking in. And then it’ll get even worse.</p>

	<p>
		Medicaid's hospital insurance will be out much sooner by 2026. That's only four years away.</p>

	But sure, kill seniors and then write a $10K check to the grad students who took out loans they don't want to pay back.</p>

	Generations worth of TV and movies have created a distorted expectation of what the police can be expected to do.&nbsp;</p>

	1. The police are a deterrent, preventing crimes before they happen through foot patrols and such that convince criminals that there are eyes on them.</p>

<p>
	2. They're the clean-up crew after the fact, taking reports, conducting investigations, making arrests.</p>

<p>
	Very little of what law enforcement actually does involves direct intervention during a crime.&nbsp;</p>

<p>
	Mostly what the police do in their interventions involves disorderly conduct, calls to homes about one of the people living there, and that sort of thing. In a crisis, you can expect them to "secure the scene" and wait for a tactical team.</p>

<p>
	That's what happened at Uvalde. People are angry and they should be.&nbsp;</p>

<p>
	But paradoxically, all the LEOs at the scene made things worse. An individual or a few of them might have done something more directly. As a group, everyone was following procedures. And that's what procedures look like.&nbsp;</p>

	Law enforcement, like everything else, has been heavily bureaucratized. Initiative is discouraged. And yet it's initiative that was desperately needed here.&nbsp;</p>

				For the past two decades major Jewish organizations have been sounding the alarm bells about the exponential rise of Jew-hatred in America and globally. They have been asking their members to financially support them in the fight against the resurgence of this centuries-old disease.</p>

			<p>
				But while substantially more philanthropic dollars are being funneled to legacy organization for the purpose of fighting Jew-hatred, it is undeniable that antisemitism is continuing to grow in the United States. According to the ADL’s and AJC’s Hate Crime Reports,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.adl.org/audit2019" rel="noopener" target="_blank">2019</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ajc.org/news/ajc-deeply-troubled-by-fbi-hate-crimes-data-showing-overall-increase-jews-most-targeted" rel="noopener" target="_blank">2020</a>&nbsp;were, respectively, the highest and third-highest years on record for cases of vandalism, harassment, and assault against Jews in the U.S. since 1979.</p>

			<p>
				For generations, the traditional Jewish organizations have been focused on developing effective programs to promote Jewish continuity, education, leadership, community engagement, and many other social and cultural projects. But given these rising incidents of Jew-hatred in the United States, it’s worth asking whether or not they are as effective in fighting antisemitism, and if not – why.</p>

			<p>
				For these large organizations, it is hard to change and adopt new strategies to combat antisemitism. Many of them disagree as to what is considered antisemitism and what isn’t. As such, they have difficulties on agreeing on policies and action plans to combat this evil.</p>

			<p>
				The legacy groups have created unbelievable redundancy, with dozens of virtually identical organizations operating in silos, mired by conflicting interests and competition for donors.</p>

			<p>
				Why would the large institutions change when very few of their donors demand that they do things different. Most donors, large and small, are giving in order to feel good, to belong to a social network, to interact with relevant business associates, to receive naming opportunities, and to obtain honors, respect, and influence. Making an impact with their donation dollars is a secondary priority for them.</p>

			<p>
				This is why it is so critical that we complement what the legacy organizations are doing with new and different approaches. We need to fight against Jew-hatred by going on the offense, exposing and holding antisemites accountable, and we also need to convince Jewish donors to support impact-oriented projects, out of the box ideas, and innovative initiatives that can move the needle.</p>

			<p>
				While there are no silver bullets, over the past two decades of battling in the trenches, I became acquainted with the unique vision of strategic venture philanthropy, a multi-network collaboration model that generates synergies among philanthropists and the most effective small and medium, startup-like organizations to effectuate real change.</p>

			<p>
				Here is an example: When the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement emerged on American campuses some 15 years ago, presenting itself as a human rights organization, many Jewish organizations ignored the fact this movement’s goal was to eradicate the State of Israel and kill its Jewish population. They provided BDS leaders a community platform to spread their hate and invited them to participate in questionable discourse. By doing so, they actually enhanced antisemitism rather than defeating it.</p>

			<p>
				In contrast, a group of venture philanthropists have commissioned several in depth research projects looking into the origins of the BDS movement, the background of its leaders, its funding, and operational methods. One of the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.gov.il/BlobFolder/generalpage/terrorists_in_suits/en/De-Legitimization%20Brochure.pdf" rel="noopener" target="_blank">projects</a>&nbsp;discovered that the BDS movement was established in 2001 by the major Palestinian terror organizations as a “non-military-front” to destroy the State of Israel based on the methods that brought the collapse of the apartheid regime in South Africa.</p>

			<p>
				Another<a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eoNU3d7K5RQY6LlcHeMabSA3XnH6mJLx/view" rel="noopener" target="_blank">&nbsp;research project</a>&nbsp;looked into the impact of the BDS movement and demonstrated how it represents the newest iteration of Antisemism. It promotes hate against Jews wherever they are because the Jewish people are inherently connected to the homeland of the Jewish people, the State of Israel. The research showed the BDS radicalizes all the other hate groups, far right, far left, and radical Islamists, and promotes physical violence against Jews.</p>

			<p>
				Once completed, the actionable parts of the research projects were provided to governmental institutions, and drew on the network of nonprofit organizations, in the media, legal, think tanks, and on the ground, willing to work on the same mission, creating synergy and force multiplication. As a result, the BDS movement is known today as a terrorist-affiliated network and the premier promotor of the New Antisemitism. BDS leaders are now often uninvited to universities, they lost tremendous governmental and NGO’s fundings, and many fund-raising platforms have cancelled them.</p>

			<p>
				Strategic venture philanthropy empowers philanthropists, often leaders of their industries, to bring their own unique vision, connections, and experience to contribute much more than just a check. The power of each philanthropist is exponentially increased through a multi-network collaboration model, like in the Los Angeles-based&nbsp;<a href="https://www.jns.org/the-impact-forum-los-angeles-based-silver-bullet-network-for-the-jewish-world/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Impact Forum</a>, which we established in 2017. Through the Impact Forum, combined philanthropic strength is leveraged to empower a network of small and mid-size nonprofit organizations—each punching substantially above their weight as they create their own synergies to amplify their impact.</p>

			<p>
				As antisemitism worsens before our eyes, we should complement the traditional, institutions-based philanthropy who ‘know what’s best’ with new out of the box proactive ideas, empowered by strategic venture philanthropists, willing to invest their experience, know how, time, connections, and philanthropy dollars to move the needle.</p>

Combating Anti-Semitism Through Strategic Venture Philanthropy

			A defiant Jewish leader inspires his people to remain steadfast against the brute force and military power of an oppressor. His inspirational actions motivate his people to fight for their freedom—for their ability to express themselves and embrace their identities. In the process, he demonstrates to the world the unyielding resolve of his nation and its dedication to self-determination.</p>

		<p>
			This describes the story of Passover and Moses, who led the Israelites from a life of slavery and subjugation in Egypt to one of liberty, spurning the mighty Egyptian army in the process. But the story also applies to Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, who over the last six weeks has led a brave defense of his homeland and his people against Putin’s lawless invasion.</p>

		<p>
			Unfortunately, NATO and other countries refuse to send their soldiers to help Ukraine leaving Ukrainians to fend for themselves on the battlefield. Similarly, when the Jewish people were attacked throughout history, no one came to protect them. The establishment of the State of Israel remarkably changed this—Jews around the world gained a new home and became a place of refuge. A great example is in 1976 when Israel sent its special forces to Entebbe Airport in Uganda, 2,500 miles away, to rescue the mostly Jewish passengers of a kidnapped TWA flight. Similarly, since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, thousands of Jewish refugees have found a secure home in Israel.</p>

Passover, Freedom, and the Importance of Israel

				In early December 2021, I attended the largest Israeli community reunion outside of Israel: the annual&nbsp;<a href="https://www.israeliamerican.org/faq">Israeli American Council</a>&nbsp;(IAC) <a href="https://summit.iac360.org/event/9590bb5d-8f32-4003-b79d-7de1a6710b59/summary?rp=12bed9d4-d48c-4779-9d8c-80f42896b9cf">Summit in Miami, Florida</a>, where I met, enjoyed, and celebrated the gathering of more than 3,000 members of the pro-Israel community in America and around the world. People of all ages, backgrounds, and interests all showed up to express their love and support for the State of Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people.<br>
				&nbsp;</div>

			<div>
				I was one of the founders of the IAC back in 2006, a member of its national board for the past 15 years, and the national chairman of the IAC from 2015 to 2019. I worked with the other founders and leaders of this movement, to transform the IAC from a local Israeli club in Los Angeles to a nationwide community and the fastest growing Jewish-American organization in the nation.<br>
				&nbsp;</div>

			<div>
				Our original shared vision and mission was to reach Israelis living in America wherever they were, bolster their new identity of Americans of Israeli descent, empower them with a defined sense of purpose, and unite them into a coast-to-coast Israeli-American community that preserves and strengthens the Israeli and Jewish identity of our next generation. The IAC’s mission also included providing unwavering support to the State of Israel and serving as a bridge between Israeli-Americans and Jewish Americans.<br>
				&nbsp;</div>

			<div>
				<div>
					Over the years, the mission of the IAC grew and was implemented through many programs for all ages and activity types filling numerous different needs. There are programs for young children, teens, students, young professionals, families, and adult groups, on subjects such as Hebrew learning, Jewish education, technology and innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, Jewish culture, personal growth, community building, advocacy, business, and philanthropy, and many more. Any time our members came up with a community need, the IAC was there to expand its programming and make it happen.<br>
					&nbsp;</div>

				<div>
					At the same time, as major Jewish American organizations pushed Israel outside the scope of their mission and no longer perceived the Jewish State as the center of their Jewish life, more and more Jewish Americans and even some non-Jews joined the activities of the IAC nationwide. The IAC provided a safe space for anyone who loves the State of Israel and promoted unwavering and unconditional support for Israel.<br>
					&nbsp;</div>

				<div>
					In essence, the IAC grew from a local organization for Israelis, and later on for Israeli-Americans, promoting a few specific goals, into the largest pro-Israel community of Jews living in America, natives and immigrants alike. Like any community, the Israeli-American community is diverse, and each sub-group has different interests and objectives. The December 2021 summit attendees were of all ages, races, political views, from all over America and worldwide but notwithstanding all of these differences, all attendees, Jewish and non-Jewish, had one major and overriding unifier bringing them all together: unconditional love and support for Israel.<br>
					&nbsp;</div>

				<div>
					<a href="https://www.sun-sentinel.com/florida-jewish-journal/broward/fl-jj-hollywood-iac-summit-benny-gantz-20211217-umcvjucpznalvh2pkkftlgcu6q-story.html">At the recent IAC Summit</a>, I realized I was participating in the largest Jewish community reunion in American history. And while one might reasonably consider some other Jewish-American conferences in a similar light, I would argue that none of these Jewish organizations is a truly cohesive community.<br>
					&nbsp;</div>

				<div>
					Thus, as the largest pro-Israel community in America, the business model of the Israeli-American community under the leadership of the IAC could and should dramatically expand to become the Global Community for Israel outside of Israel (or “GC4I”). For the record, I don’t speak on behalf of the IAC, and this vision is my personal one.<br>
					&nbsp;</div>

				<div>
					<div>
						As part of this transformative vision for the Israeli-American community into GC4I, I see the movement presenting itself as the extended pro-Israel community in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Britain, France, Australia, and everywhere else outside of Israel. The same way the IAC attracts many pro-Israel non-Jews, I envision the GC4I expanding globally not only to Jews in the diaspora, but also to non-Jewish supporters of Israel.<br>
						&nbsp;</div>

					<div>
						Until 2012, the IAC was called the Israeli Leadership Council and exclusively reached Israelis in Los Angeles. When we broadened our identity to Israeli-Americans and renamed the organization the Israeli American Council, emphasizing we are generations of Americans of Israeli descent, we were able to carry our vision and mission all over the United States from coast to coast.<br>
						&nbsp;</div>

					<div>
						To transform the Israeli-American Community into the Global Community for Israel, the IAC first needs to expand its reach in America to include all pro-Israel Americans, Jews, and non-Jews.<br>
						&nbsp;</div>

					<div>
						Secondly, we can take another leap forward by expanding the mission to include pro-Israel Jews and non-Jews all over the world. The GC4I will become the pro-Israel community in the world and will then expand country by country until we become a truly global movement.</div>

					<div>
						Chabad, the cherished Jewish outreach movement of the Lubavitch Hasidism, is the most successful Jewish business model in the world. I believe that the GC4I can be as big. However, to launch and execute this global vision, the IAC must get the funding and support of major philanthropists and foundations.<br>
						&nbsp;</div>

					<div>
						Ten years ago, Dr. Miriam Adelson and her late husband, Sheldon Adelson (Z”L), realized the great potential of the Israeli-American community and envisioned expanding our local organization to a national community. They took it upon themselves to boost and fund the group’s rapid coast-to-coast expansion, and along with other supporters of the IAC, the organization grew from one regional office to tens around the country. I am confident that the IAC’s current donors—as well as a new generation of patrons— will see the benefit of expanding the Global Community for Israel vision and investing in this far-reaching and ambitious worldwide model.<br>

					I am honored to have been part of the IAC’s great success thus far and profoundly excited to see it on the cusp of taking another transformative step in the service of Israel and the Jewish people. Global Community for Israel

	Dear friends and colleagues, members of the Jewish-American community:</p>

<p>
	Good News!&nbsp;<a href="https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/antisemitism" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Anti-Semitism</a>&nbsp;is no longer a problem worth combatting.</p>

<p>
	This is the assessment of a large number of fellow Jews I’ve reached out to over the past few years. The outreach was part of my effort to recruit others to partner with me in my fight against the world’s oldest hatred, which is now, once again, inciting violence against Jews.</p>

<p>
	Although I decided to continue fighting instead of shifting to a laidback lifestyle, I owe it to you to provide some of the reasonable as well as absurd excuses I’ve heard over the years. So here it is, as expressed by some of my Jewish peers who tried to convince me that my activism is a bad idea.</p>

<p>
	<strong>We cannot afford to fight anti-Semitism.</strong></p>

<p>
	The number one reason many Jews avoid fighting or helping in the fight against anti-Semitism is because they are afraid.</p>

<p>
	The more affluent and successful my Jewish friends are the less risk they are willing to take. Standing up and fighting against our enemies expose and place us in the public domain and we become the targeted enemies of our adversaries, and that can be costly. I often hear or I am led to understand that they would like to help but they cannot afford any risk and have too much to lose. It’s much safer for their reputation, their businesses, and their wellbeing if they stay underneath the radar and hope someone else will do the job. There are many ways to stay underneath the radar and support anonymously, but any type of involvement scares them because it might leak out and be used against them.</p>

<p>
	Because they don’t want to admit that they are fearful, most use reasonable and/or absurd excuses including the following:</p>

<p>
	<strong>Anti-Semitism isn’t growing and it’s not Violent.</strong></p>

<p>
	Are the statistics from the FBI and the DOJ documenting the significant rise in hate crimes toward Jews accurate and/or relevant?</p>

<p>
	My Jewish friends tend to evaluate the severity of anti-Semitism based on the personal threat of violence toward themselves and their loved ones. “Have anyone I know ever been killed or injured by anti-Semites?” Nope. “Have we ever been personally threatened by anti-Semites?” I don’t believe so. The point is, they say, let’s not exaggerate the threat and let’s find a way to live with this minimal risk, if any. Are there anti-Semites? Sure. But they’re a fringe, and they’ll always be a fringe, and besides, they say, the odds of being struck by lightning are much higher than the odds of me or a member of my family being subject to a violent anti-Semitic attack.</p>

<p>
	<strong>Anti-Semitism helps Jewish unity.</strong></p>

<p>
	I’ve heard that anti-Semitism is like death and taxes. It’s inevitable. It’s just an unfortunate byproduct of humanity and of the Jewish experience but it prompted the survival of the Jewish people for thousands of years. Anti-Semitism creates Jewish unity; it has been the only point of unity among increasingly divergent Jewish communities. When Jews feel safe and prosper, they are more at risk of assimilation and intermarriage, so we need anti-Semitism to bring them back to their roots. So why fight it? Instead, we should be thanking Hashem and our lucky stars for this Jew-hatred. It’s all part of a divine plan that’s above our pay grade to understand.</p>

<p>
	<strong>Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism.</strong></p>

<p>
	Jew-hatred and the violence stemming from anti-Semitism seem like a growing problem only because we label the expanding but justified condemnation of Israel as “anti-Semitic.” Many told me that if we create a wedge between the diaspora Jews and their homeland, being the State of Israel, and welcome criticism of Israel, it can only lead to greater love, understanding and appreciation for Jews everywhere. Those with an unbridled love for the Jewish people but deep hatred toward Israel such as supporters of the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.jpost.com/bds-threat" rel="noopener" target="_blank">BDS movement</a>&nbsp;will accept us as respected members of society. Considering our long history of oppression, we’re rarely given a choice in anything. So, let’s be good Jews and become champions of the anti-Israel movement.</p>

<p>
	<strong>Anti-Semitism: A cost-benefit analysis.</strong></p>

<p>
	In theory, it would be great to eradicate anti-Semitism, but we simply don’t have enough people and sufficient resources to do so. Even if every single Jew in America donated to the cause, it will never be enough to counter the billions being poured into anti-Semitic campaigns. So, if our numbers and resources are limited, is it really worth dedicating so much time and money to a fight that we’ll inevitably lose? Many prefer to dedicate their limited resource to existing Jewish institutions such as schools, synagogues and social services, as well as hiring armed security services to protect our Jewish institutions and their communities.</p>

<p>
	<strong>Valuable advice rather than financial commitments.</strong></p>

<p>
	Jews are known to be smart. They are excellent in providing opinions and ideas, including on how to fight anti-Semitism and how to raise the necessary funds to fight it. But, when it’s time to put money where their mouth is, most prefer to stick with giving priceless advice. Most claim that they don’t have the necessary resources to help financially and those who do have such resources claim that there are many more important undertakings than to fight Jew-hatred.</p>

<p>
	Although there are many excuses and good reasons why not to fight anti-Semitism, there are also great advantages in doing so and now. Anti-Semitism is a universal problem; the enemies of the Jewish people are first and utmost the enemies of America. Hatred against Jews and/or any other minority groups in America is cancerous to our society. Thus, for the first time in several thousands of years, it’s in the best interest of Western civilization and all Americans to join together and combat this evil.</p>

<p>
	Second, we now have a strong Jewish state, the State of Israel, on our side. The people of Israel view anti-Semitism as a serious threat and are willing to lead the fight against it, not just observe from safety, by providing courage, resources and &nbsp;innovation.</p>

<p>
	Despite the convincing excuses I’ve heard, I stay optimistic and hope that some, like me, will stop downplaying the threat, move past the fear, paranoia, and inaction, and join me in standing up and fighting anti-Semitism.</p>

	At the Israeli-American Council (IAC) Summit I recently attended in Miami, I heard from Israeli leaders and ministers that it’s hard for Israelis to relate to the scourge of global anti-Semitism because… there is no anti-Semitism in Israel!&nbsp;</div>

	&nbsp;</div>

<div>
	I was surprised to learn that according to these leaders, the war of attrition and demonization against our Jewish State, led globally by the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which Israelis define as de-legitimization, is not viewed as anti-Semitism.&nbsp;</div>

<p>
	<br>
	This notion was reinforced a few days later when an Israeli Minister said at a Knesset conference on “Combating De-Legitimization” (i.e. BDS) that he is <a href="https://www.jewishpress.com/news/israel/labor-minister-says-not-every-bds-action-is-necessarily-antisemitic-hes-wrong/2021/12/15/" rel="" target="_blank">unwilling to accept</a> the claim that every act of the BDS is anti-Semitic.”&nbsp;</p>

<h3>
	<strong>Is the BDS movement Anti-Semitic in nature?</strong></h3>

<div>
	According to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) <a href="https://www.holocaustremembrance.com/resources/working-definitions-charters/working-definition-antisemitism" rel="" target="_blank">working definition</a> of anti-Semitism, the BDS movement is clearly anti-Semitic pursuant to multiple criteria, including:</div>

		Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation; BDS maintains a singular, hostile obsession with Israel, applying standards to Israel it applies to no other entities, including a complete disregard of the human rights abuses carried out by the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, and neighboring Arab states against Palestinians.<br>
		&nbsp;</div>

	<div>
		Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor; BDS is committed to the elimination of “apartheid” Israel, defining all Jewish sovereignty in the land of Israel as illegal and unjust “occupation.”</div>

	<strong>Is the BDS Movement also affiliated with Terrorism?</strong></h3>

	If this isn’t convincing that BDS equals anti-Semitism, perhaps we should explore the purpose of the BDS movement and its origins.<br>
	&nbsp;</div>

	In 2019 the Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs published <a href="https://www.gov.il/BlobFolder/generalpage/terrorists_in_suits/en/De-Legitimization%20Brochure.pdf" rel="" target="_blank"><em>Terrorists in Suits</em></a>, a now renowned report that substantiates the fact that the five major Palestinian terror organizations, being the Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, established the BDS movement in 2001 to open a new line of attacks against the State of Israel the Jewish people and focus their efforts into one unified channel. In addition to terror attacks on Israelis, they launched international boycotts against Israel based on the model used against the South African apartheid regime during the 70s and 80s.</p>

<p>
	One of the first strategic actions taken by these Palestinian terror groups was to declare that Zionism is Racism and label Israel as an apartheid state during the Durban conference in 2001. Another strategic action was and is presenting Israel as a human rights violator and as an apartheid State.</p>

	In 2019 Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs published another report: <a href="https://4il.org.il/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/MSA-report-Behind-the-Mask.pdf" rel="" target="_blank">Behind the Mask: The Antisemitic Nature of BDS Exposed</a>. Its findings were later supported in <a href="https://www.stopantisemitism.org/new-anti-semites-report" rel="" target="_blank">The New Anti-Semites</a> report published by StopAntisemitism.org and Zachor Legal Institute and endorsed by more than 60 American NGOs. Both reports substantiated that the BDS movement is the new anti-Semitism of our era, demonizes Israel and the Jewish people, connects all the main hate movements – the Far Right, Far Left and Radical Islamists—and incites violence against Jews wherever they are.&nbsp;</div>

	<br>
	<strong>Does the BDS Movement really incite violence globally and in Israel?</strong></h3>

	Over the last couple of years and even within the past few weeks, violent and lethal attacks against Jews have become common, globally and in Israel. Just look at recent assaults against Jews in New York, Los Angeles, Jerusalem, Jaffa, Haifa, Lod, and Judea and Samaria, perpetrated by Palestinians and Israeli-Arabs who support BDS’s goal of eliminating Israel and its Jewish residents.&nbsp;<br>
	&nbsp;</div>

<div>
	The attackers in Europe, America and Israel were mostly extremist Muslims who particularly targeted those who were visibly Jewish.<br>
	<br>
	By and large, Israelis intuitively understand that the BDS movement—with its aim to kill Jews, and eliminate the Jewish State, its demonization and double standards against Israel, and its tacit, if not explicit, support for violence and terrorism against Israelis and its Jewish and non-Jewish supporters—is inherently anti-Semitic.&nbsp;<br>
	&nbsp;</div>

	It’s well past time that Israeli leaders caught up to the reality that anti-Semitism is present and a clear danger in Israel and those killing innocent Israelis in Israel and worldwide are acting on anti-Semitic motives.<br>
	&nbsp;</div>

<div>
	Given BDS’s irrefutable anti-Semitic and violent nature, it is deeply alarming that Israeli leaders are soft-pedaling the anti-Semitic menace that BDS is. The war against Israel, for which BDS essentially serves as the public relations arm, is part and parcel of global anti-Semitism. Jews in the Diaspora and Israel are both targets in this campaign.&nbsp;<br>
	&nbsp;</div>

<div>
	We must stand together against BDS and all forms of anti-Semitism. The war against Israel is rooted in anti-Semitism, and we must no longer inaccurately diminish the conflict as some kind of intercommunal, territorial struggle. Rejection of a sovereign Jewish presence in Israel, which BDS promotes, is anti-Semitic.</div>

	I call on Israeli Jews to forthrightly recognize the anti-Semitic war that has been unjustly thrusted upon them, as well as past and future generations, for so many decades, and stand together with their Jewish brethren in the Diaspora who are also under assault.&nbsp;<br>
	&nbsp;</div>

<div>
	They must also demand that their leaders directly identify and combat this anti-Semitic menace and not dilute this real and present danger, which all too regularly kills and maims Jews in Israel and worldwide. Together, we can prevail against this evil.&nbsp;</div>

Does Anti-Semitism Exist in Israel?

	The year 2018 has provided a series of reminders that antisemitism, the world’s oldest hatred, is alive and well in our country.<br>
	<br>
	In October, 11 Jews were massacred in Pittsburgh as they prayed on the Sabbath. It is just the latest in a series of violent attacks that have targeted the Jewish community in recent times, which come not only from the radical right but also from the radical left, and from radical Muslims.</p>

<p>
	The enemies of the Jewish people don’t only physically attack us from the outside. They have also long worked to divide the Jewish people by turning our own against us. For example, a number of Jewish individuals and organizations have become leaders within the BDS movement, which seeks to destroy the Jewish state.</p>

<p>
	Jewish self-hatred did not begin with the BDS movement. Isaiah 49:17 says, “Your destroyers and devastators will depart from you.” History is replete with examples of Jews who hated the Jewish people so vehemently that they dedicated their entire lives to its destruction.<br>
	Take the new Jewish group IfNotNow, which together with their collaborators Jewish Voice for Peace set its sights on demonizing Birthright Israel – an organization that has helped over 600,000 young Jews from 67 countries connect with their Jewish heritage and with the State of Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people.</p>

<p>
	Last summer, IfNotNow launched a campaign to harass Birthright participants at JFK and Heathrow airports, and planted saboteurs to infiltrate and disrupt Birthright trips, using these stunts to secure slanted media that demonizes Birthright and its Jewish supporters. In doing so, they sought to erode support for a program that made a transformative impact for hundreds of thousands of young Jews – and to discourage participants from accepting this tremendous life changing gift.</p>

<p>
	The leaders of IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace, who are Jewish themselves, sympathize with Hamas and other terrorist organizations. They present their movement as an anti-occupation group but have never recognized Israel right to exist or the Jewish people right for self-determination.</p>

<p>
	Along the same lines, some media outlets within the Jewish community are now actively working with explicitly anti-Israel – and in some cases antisemitic – networks, such as Electronic Intifada and Al Jazeera, to attack and demonize pro-Israel leaders and organizations.<br>
	It was recently revealed by pro-Israel activist and journalist Noah Pollak that a Forward reporter was using Al Jazeera as a source for a story to smear pro-Israel entities.</p>

<p>
	It’s despicable that one of the United States’s most storied Jewish papers was working to attack pro-Israel leaders and organizations using material obtained from an Al Jazeera espionage operation, overseen by Qatar, the major sponsor of Hamas and the global Muslim Brotherhood.</p>

<p>
	The same newspaper has launched a campaign together with Electronic Intifada and Al-Jazeera to attack the financial supporters of the Canary Mission – a watchdog that compiles public statements and social media posts of antisemites and anti-Israel activists who demonize the Jewish state, deny the Holocaust, and call for genocide of Jews.<br>
	<br>
	In its 2016-2017 year-end report, the Israel on Campus Coalition recognized that exposing and discouraging anti-Israel activists through online platforms such as Canary Mission created a strong deterrent against antisemitism and BDS. By publicly documenting the actions of anti-Israel students, these platforms have created a detailed record of the hate and anti-Semitism present on US campuses.<br>
	<br>
	Enemies of the Jewish people also recognize the profound impact of Canary Mission. A recent article in the pro-BDS publication, The Intercept, was headlined: “It’s Killing the Student Movement: Canary Mission’s Blacklist of Pro-Palestine Activists Is Taking a Toll.”<br>
	<br>
	New York Times bestselling author Edwin Black recently wrote that a generation from now, historians will judge the Canary Mission and others who acted to defend against anti-Jewish and anti-Israel bigotry – and those, such as the Forward, who did all they could to frustrate and obstruct those efforts.<br>
	<br>
	Our Jewish community contains a multitude of diverse advocates and activists, but our strength lies in our support for each other and for the State of Israel, and the knowledge that justice is on our side. Our enemies know there are no one more credible and eloquent individuals to divide and destroy us than Jews who demonize the State of Israel and portray the IDF – undoubtedly the most moral army in the world – as craven war criminals. If we glorify and support the tactics that these hateful Jewish individuals and organizations practice, or even if we stay silent, will be responsible for their “success”.<br>
	<br>
	As was demonstrated by the horrific murder of Jews in the Pittsburgh synagogue, our enemies don’t distinguish between us. Jews who support and serve the work of our enemies should not be allowed to continue divide and self-destruct us from within.<br>
	<br>
	The pro-Israel community must stand up to marginalize these bigots and their supporters. If we don’t, history shows that the results could be catastrophic.<br>
