The Supreme Court, the only federal court actually authorized by the Constitution, ruled 6-3 that federal district judges don’t actually wield unlimited power over the entire country. This rollback of the ‘judicial coup’ which had district judges issuing nationwide injunctions binding the administration from implementing its chosen policies, not only in D.C. or in their district, but nationwide has outraged the ‘coupers’.
Nationwide injunctions by federal district judges had in recent months allowed them to function as the actual government, blocking any and all policies by the administration on farcial grounds such as the Administrative Procedures Act, claiming that the decisions were unjusified, and effectively allowing these judges to rule in the place of elected oficials.
This is not a broad rebuke. The majority opinion by Justice Amy Coney Barrett has plenty of hedges, but notes that there is no constitutional authority for injunctions that go beyond granting relief to the named plantiffs. That means you can expect the next wave of ACLU lawsuits to have a much broader class of plantiffs. But it at least begins the roillback of a judiical coup in which judges like Boasberg had insisted that they had unlimited powers over the country, its armed forces and diplomats abroad, and even foreign nations making them more powerful than presidents.
They’re not.
We elect a President to Help Run America not a handful of Unelected Judges
District judges barking orders at the executive branch is not how it works. The leftist have been judge shopping to get their way. The Supreme Court gutted this practice. The 3 disenters could not behave more stupidly and in the case of Jackson, she is in a class by herself.
Jackson? More like Jackass.
She’s even worse than Jotomayor, and that Kagan guy.
Jackson is what you get when a demented President shops for a VP and Supreme Court Justice by marking off just 3 boxes>. “black female Dem”. That limits his fishing to about 6% of the population, a group lowest in academic achievement. What are the odds of finding the needle in that haystack who actually MERITS being on SCOTUS?
That was one of the tricks used back in Ancient Rome, corrupt/biased judges.
Those Roman Senators weren’t too honest either. As you know, they used to withhold drinking and bathing water from their own citizens when they got overly petty. And those fountains were right out in public!
Neither were most of their Emperors/Caesars.
I think the common synchronism with world leaders is that they tend to be corrupt scumbags.
Thank God for Trump.
One of the left’s big points against DOGE was Musk wasn’t elected. These “judged” weren’t elected, but the Dems loved them. Hypocrisy is a Dem SOP.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett rebuked the dissenting hypocrisy of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, her silly DEI colleague: “We observe only this: Justice Jackson decries an imperial Executive while embracing an imperial Judiciary.”
“imperial” robe-*******, proceed @ your own risk
In the early 1930’s, a judge was hauled out of his courtroom and hung by a rope on the well manicured lawn of the Plymouth County (Iowa) Courthouse. For the record, I am NOT advocating this behavior as a remedy for out-of-control judges today. The Plymouth County judge was discovered to have been taking bribes to rule in favor Chicago bankers who were stealing farms from Depression-decimated farmers. Now, while I’m not advocating this at all, you have to admit that a rope around one’s neck has a way of focusing one’s attention on 1) their relationship to Jesus. 2) their responsibility to their community. 3) their honest commitment to the LAW. 4) who is going to clean their $9,000 tailor-made suit after their pee finishes running down their legs. A suit that was probably bought by a corrupt Democrat. Hoover took umbrage to losing a corrupt judge and sent the Army to Iowa
Lynching by the public majority of populists? “For the record, I am NOT advocating this behavior as a remedy for out-of-control judges today.”
I wholeheartedly advocate it nationwide.
Whatever Dems can’t get at the voting booth despite their fraud, they run to the courts to get. Dems have a bad habit of abusing whatever position of influence they achieve instead of doing the job they’re paid to do and Dem judges are no exception. They’re actually among the worst, behaving like party activists instead of interpreting law in unbiased fashion. How such hyper-partisans betraying their calling sleep at night or wrongly consider themselves morally superior is a mystery for our ages.
