The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is back. Nerdprom means that it’s time for minor celebrities, major correspondents and political hacks to hang out together at a dinner meant to raise money for student scholarships, while actually raising money for the celebrities.
The Trump administration is once again staying away from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. And the media is up in arms.
CNN’s Brian Stelter called it an “attack on the media”. Other media personalities have weighed in as well.
But what’s the problem?
CNN and other media outlets have made it quite clear that they believe that President Trump and members of the administration are the ultimate evil. And yet they’re whining because Trump and members of his administration won’t show up to their party.
If the media really believes that Trump and members of his administration are evil, why complain that they won’t come to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner?
